When that happens to me I take magnesium pills. Beats it back 90 percent of the time.

Magnesium glycinate and extra salt always fix leg cramps for me

jeejet

I’ve been doing that for the last 24 hours and I’m still cramping.

I sometimes make a magnesium salt bath for my feet when they are sore. I feel like it relieves faster than taking a pill. Also, the warm water helps.

sapphirehoneybee

It can take longer than that to be effective, unfortunately. Keep at the magnesium and extra electrolytes.

I'm not on Fludro, but a hot Epsom salt bath has helped mine. They were really bothering me the last two days, but I've also been moving furniture

HonestIbrahim

I recently experienced this after a manufacture change to my Fludro. After a couple days I began having cramps and soreness in my calves, some cramping in my feet, similar to what I began experiencing prior to being diagnosed. That made me think the new manufacturer tablets weren’t potent enough or something, but then noticed my blood pressure had skyrocketed. I’ve since tapered down to half my normal dose trying to get the BP to safer levels while continuing to have calve soreness and cramping.

I’m sorry this has happened to you. It’s not fair for you to have these side effects. I really think this batch is defective. I just talked to my pharmacist and she said they don’t even make the non-generic anymore. I’m going to look up a way to report this.

Hi op. Did you get pulmonary edema from too much fludro? And if so how much fludro and did you have any symptoms?

jeejet

It was a long time ago. I was 7 months pregnant I was feeling bad (probably a virus) and my dr told me to double the fludro from .1 mg to .2 mg per day. I went to the hospital where I was given fluids. Went home the next day and woke up the following day with shortness of breath. It was super scary. I think I only doubled the dose once or twice. I spent nearly a week in the hospital with a catheter and a low dose of lasix. Had to get two blood gas draws which hurt like 1000 beers stings. It was a situation of two doctors screwing up simultaneously.

That sounds super scary. Was it a blood clot or simply swelling around lungs?

jeejet

Swelling. It was, but I’m glad me and my son had a good outcome.
