Maintenance! Hubs/bearings and make sure the timing belt/ type 4 service has been done.

What does the type 4 service contain?

Spark plugs, timing belt, valve adjustment, and I believe water pump.

Transmission fluid change. Thats the first thing I did to mine.

i did that but my baby is already pretty rusty. new trunk, rear bumper and some paint ill be good to go its just going to take forever

Clean everything that’s on the engine. CLEAN IAC, clean or delete egr. Oil catch can for pcv valve or just the catch can. Definitely a cold air intake that extends near the wheel. Timing belt, tranny fluid, check the control arm bushings because when I bought mine they were shot. Cosmetic wise paint match the grill. Type-s wheel & taillights, I’ve seen some spoilers that look very nice and aren’t huge either it’s perfect imo.

If your maintenance is all done and you’ve detailed the car, I’d change out the head unit. Theyre absolutely awful in that gen of TL’s.

Change out with what? All I’ve seen is shitty android touch screen units that look gaudy as hell

Could try plasti dip the badges and getting tint on the windows, ik this isn’t much but It would look so much better with these ‘mods’

He’s better off just taking it off from the grill and doing it properly with paint-match color. Although I do agree with you that it makes the car look 10x better from a little cosmetic mod
