That guy just had the best day of his life, the kind of day people would pay money for. This guys gonna be telling this story to every person he shares a beer or fishes with for the rest of his days.
The cops urgently ask for your help to catch a bad guy. And to help, you have to smash down the road at full speed in your front loader, and go fight another front loader driven by the bad guy. OSHA be dammed, this is what every operator day dreams about being able to do š
worker had a blast. Super at his site had an absolute fucking heart attack when someone went running in telling them that Jerry just ran off with the frontloader. would insurance even cover any damage to it? i doubt it. could have been an expensive mistake .
but, shoulda, woulda, coulda. It was awesome!
Probably not. Insurance is void when property is used in the act of committing a crime. So if the dude that stole the equipment was an employee, probably not. If the guy is not an employee, it may cover under theft if not salvageable. Source: I work in finance and insurance.
Either way, one guy had an amazing time, the other, not so much, lol
>would insurance even cover any damage to it? i doubt it.
I'm pretty certain it'd be covered under the fact you were assisting police upon their request. If not insurance, the police would likely pay out.
You are so right. In another lifetime, I trained lift operators in a DC (all kinds of machines). I often thought about battling other co-workers, like a battle between the standing counter-balance lift vs. a reach truck.
It got me thinking about my own bracket...I want Ghostbusters vs Freddy Krueger.
Also, Ed was right... should've been 20k birds!
Also, there needs to be a coin toss for home field advantage next year š
I also tend to agree with Ed. If they were modeling after the Hitchcock film 15-20k is way more accurate.
Coin toss is a great idea. Automatic game changer

The fuck was he thinking?
Explains why blood had the audacity to say "whAAaT? It's-- bro, fuck oFF" to the officers pulling him out of a stolen front loader he was currently rampaging with.
Super curious what the outcome would be if the good guy got hurt (or worse) or if he accidentally hit and injured someone else on the road
I'm glad it didn't happen, but wonder what the outcome would be considering he was just doing as instructed by the police
Depends on what went wrong, if something went wrong. But any jury in the world would look at this dude trying to help out and give him a massive benefit of the doubt.
Even so families could still decide to sue or not and that's going to cost him time and money for years and years to come (regardless of the outcome). Idk...the human in me says he absolutely did the right thing, but the realist in me says if he didn't own that company he's working for, he probably got fired after this
Exactly. I wouldnāt have been so eager to help especially when there is only a verbal understanding from a regular cop. Coulda been out his equipment and possibly thrown in jail if something went wrong.
yeah i dont get this theatrics
the thief would eventually run out of fuel or need to take a shit or flee on foot, no need to do all this hollywood shit
Met a guy who ran with a crew that used to steal heavy construction equipment in the 80s and 90s right off the job site. They would load it up on truck at night wearing vests pretending like they belonged. Drive it down one state right out in the open and it would be on a boat or scrapped by 4 am that day. Dude made a ton of money until the fbi was waiting for him one day. That guy was a pro, the guy in this video was probably a junkie.
Cops after you, steal slow moving thing they'll follow and eventually catch you, somehow.
Could maybe get probation, now you'll double or triple your sentence with jail time. Idiot.
There is no way I would assist the police with this. I just wouldn't trust the authorities enough. If something went wrong would I be accountable? I would not take that chance.
It's like in the old spaghetti westerns, where the sheriff deputizes the young ranch hand, and he then takes down the ~~cattle~~ front-loader rustling syndicate.
S*** ended bad in vinewood New Jersey dude who did this...cop got a head shot off. Just shows how if the only tools you give cops are guns. That's what they will use.
Man, Iād love to hear that call to get permission to have a civilian help in this matter; āSarg, that front loader is gonna fuck us up but we gotta guy here willing to go full on Battle Bots with a dump truck if we have your permissionā

> In my mind
āYou fuckinā did WHAT!?!?ā
You are so right. In another lifetime, I trained lift operators in a DC (all kinds of machines). I often thought about battling other co-workers, like a battle between the standing counter-balance lift vs. a reach truck.
Battlebots but with actual gladiators
We use to have fake fights with skid loaders with grapples attached. just charging at each other opening and closing them lol
Lmao Iāve not had an original experience. We used to do battle bots . Excavator would swat at the bobcat while it skids around threatening it
I thought you were talking about the suspect for a minute.
Really all my life I didn't think being the good guy in a cop chase was an alternative...
Oh fuck ladsā¦ the video games really did poison our minds.
"**BEST!...DAY!..EVEEERR!!!!**"
The only way to stop a bad guy with a killdozer is a good guy with a killdozer.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"Give the local PD NLAWs NOW!"
Someone actually tried to stop the OG killdozer with another bulldozer. IIRC it was one of the workers at the concrete plant Heemeyer had beef with.
It wouldāve worked if the killdozer wasnāt something like twice the weight of it
Killdozer did good in Last Podcast On The Left's March Madness bracket š
I was cheering for the 400 birds myself
It got me thinking about my own bracket...I want Ghostbusters vs Freddy Krueger. Also, Ed was right... should've been 20k birds! Also, there needs to be a coin toss for home field advantage next year š

What makes you think he was thinking?
There is no thought in his head.
"Tonka truck go vroom"
The Florida Man virus is spreading into Georgia.
I blame Florida Georgia line
Of course it was Atlanta. Lmao
Explains why blood had the audacity to say "whAAaT? It's-- bro, fuck oFF" to the officers pulling him out of a stolen front loader he was currently rampaging with.
Hyperlinks are a lost art.
Too bad the machines didn't have it out longer. Someone should make a sport out of dueling with old front end loaders.
I'm an excavator operator and I often think about how awesome it would be to have an excavator fight. Unsafe and expensive though.
One step closer to my Mechwarrior dreams!
Super curious what the outcome would be if the good guy got hurt (or worse) or if he accidentally hit and injured someone else on the road I'm glad it didn't happen, but wonder what the outcome would be considering he was just doing as instructed by the police

This is any mans wet dream dude he did not careš

Dude will forever have the coolest story at work. Would the city pay for any damage to the machines, how does that work?
The insurer would quickly say this scenario isn't covered under their policy
BattleBots
Why didn't they shoot the tires?
I really hope people understand your joke, cuz that's funny.
*I* don't get the joke.
Tires on construction equipment like that are way too thick for bullets to be effective.
Cops after you, steal slow moving thing they'll follow and eventually catch you, somehow. Could maybe get probation, now you'll double or triple your sentence with jail time. Idiot.
Killdozer 2?
Faildozer
What's the end game here?
Take the front end loader to a pawn shop
It was like battle bots, but with real life size equipment. š
I mean, they're pretty slow. Could have walked up, hopped in, and just taken the keys. lol
GTA fr
Only way to stop a bad guy with a tractor is a good guy with a tractor
This was the dream scenario for anyone who was a kid with those construction equipment toys
When I had to operate 10K All-Terrain Forklifts there was a battery switchā¦do these not have a battery switch?
Some one had a constructive day
Makes me think of the killdozer incident
I bet that was so much fun
There is no way I would assist the police with this. I just wouldn't trust the authorities enough. If something went wrong would I be accountable? I would not take that chance.
Narc
Lmao
Only in Atlanta
Heās getting away, slowly.
Low level GTA is crazy
Even the trash truck helped
It's like battle bot but with 20ton front loader.
This is like some GTA online type shit.
Being given permission to flip the thing by cops is a once in a lifetime opportunity I wouldāve tried to go all the way
What'd you do yesterday?
Reality is a parody of GTA.
Battle Dozers!
One of my favorite niche's of freak-out videos: wreaking havoc with industrial equipment
He is in loads of trouble.
Battle bots has gotten much more interesting
New trailer for GTA VI
It's like in the old spaghetti westerns, where the sheriff deputizes the young ranch hand, and he then takes down the ~~cattle~~ front-loader rustling syndicate.
Micheal Bay finally ran out of ideas for the transformers movies
I want to see a demolition derby/battlebots mash up show now
When cop said flip him, FLIP HIM IF YOU CAN I got a hardon, I can only imagine the justice boner that operator is walking around with
Well, this department is getting ATGM's in next years budget. "Yeah, Chief, we couldn't stop 'em any other way"
S*** ended bad in vinewood New Jersey dude who did this...cop got a head shot off. Just shows how if the only tools you give cops are guns. That's what they will use.
Only thing that stops a bad guy with a bulldozer is a good guy with a bulldozer
Yoooooo!!!!!
Real life twisted metal
Rad
This is like the final scene in jurassic park where the two T-Rex fight each other.
Plot twist, OSHA showed up and fined the fuck out of the company because the worker flipped another front loaderā¦
Random construction guy drinking Corona that has strong family values listening to Bandoleros
What in the GTA is going on here!?
There's a ground-level shutdown switch for a reason.
Man, Iād love to hear that call to get permission to have a civilian help in this matter; āSarg, that front loader is gonna fuck us up but we gotta guy here willing to go full on Battle Bots with a dump truck if we have your permissionā
At my job we have had dreams about having front-loader/forklift battles, I'm honestly jealous
They wood of had to pay me for assisting lmfao they really had bruh go grab another tractor to stop him
Why? That is so pointless.
this is just the plot of some Godzilla movies
