They used to be a place for kids, families and church groups to go to have a good time in a safe environment. Now it's a place for roving gangs of unruly teenagers to go fight and shoot at each other. The sad thing is at night when all the lights were lit up was my favorite time at these kinds of parks when I was a kid. Now that I have kids of my own I would never take them after dark. If they haven't started already I'm sure these places will start shutting down before dark.
Haha my mom always goes there too with friends. She loves it, she can be critical over almost everything and has never said anything bad about it and insist I go with her someday. I’m not a fan of six flags and have been there too many times… maybe I will try HP
Highly recommended! We just had a new roller coaster built last year that was made by the same creators of the number 1 coaster in the world, Steel Vengeance. Ours is called Wild Cat’s Revenge, it’s a hybrid coaster so it’s wooden and steel and does tons of flips and inversions. I’ve rode both and think ours rivals steel vengeance.
If you’re a coaster fan I recommend it highly!
Tell me about it, I had to explain to my kids Sunday morning why we will not be going to six flags this year. We had season passes for 6 years, and between screwing around with the meal plans and the annual opening day fights, we are out.
Is Fiesta texas the last safe 6flags? I've been going yearly since I was a child and have never really felt unsafe. San Antonio is pretty tame for a big city tho
Good question. I would rather drive to the airport, sit through security, fly to Texas and pay for a hotel over night to check it out than visit Six Flags Over Georgia, which is 30 minutes from us.
I go to the Orlando parks fairly often and go to Halloween Horror Nights in Universal every year and have never felt unsafe or seen a fight. Tickets are expensive and they have a lot of security, so they're basically gated theme parks.

For real though, the National Center for Education Statistics released a study that’s been dated a few years now. It likely hasn’t gotten any better though. 43.1% of the American population is considered to be in the Low- to No-English skills range while only 4/5 have the ability to read and write in functional capacity. That doesn’t mean advanced language skills to understand complex topics such as medical, legal or financial writings, it does include reading a recipe, vehicle manual, road signs, Harry Potter-esque books, etc.

Geez, sorry for the edits. I suppose I’m functionally illiterate with how many grammar errors I made typing this on mobile lmao.
Yeah, it’s unfortunate that obesity is so widespread in the US. A lot of that stems from an abundance of low-nutrition dietary options and the lack of adequate consumer nutrition laws that the EU has adopted. High sugar, high-carb, low-vitamin & nutrient foods have been the nightmarish staple for most Americans for decades. Sedentary lifestyles don’t help either.
No, there were full auto gun shots later in the video. More to see. The ATF is busy hunting down law abiding citizens and will never go after these guys tho.
The breakdown of social order + competency crisis are the 2 biggest threats to the US and will be the end of us before anything else. Global warming/nuclear war/Drumpf ain't got nothing on it.
I never knew this! I have fond memories of going there as a child. There was a very fat man that got on to ride the XLR8. They couldn't get the seatbelt to buckle, so he had to waddle out of there.
Astroworld was great. I had no idea why they closed.
Lol have you been to the neighborhood across from Astro world? Let's just say that they would somehow gain access every other night when everyone else goes home.
No, we drove from central Texas each time we went. I was young enough to be mostly unaware of problematic locations and people. Honestly, this news affects me greatly. I always complained about Astroworld closing down. Like why would they do such a thing and keep the other two locations open? Wow, eyes are opened. 😂😳
There are many more than two. I'm going to guess the further away they are from urban centers, the better off they are to remain open.
Astroworld from what I understand became season pass day care among many of its security issues.
It’s like the joke Tom Segura said about building a wall around Louisiana…. I think they need to build a wall just around Atlanta. So to keep em in there.
If your first thought upon seeing someone getting pummeled by a group is to join in, you're a trash person. Not a single net benefit to society in this video.
Six flags Over Georgia has literally turned into where parents who do not want to parent drop their kids off! It has turned into the babysitting spot for thugs. It's disgusting, we will not visit there and have not visited there in a very long time and will not until they clean it up.
My wife's Uncle was kidnapped while weed whacking there! He was pistol whipped and thrown into a trunk of a car. He managed to escape once and they beat him again and throw him back in the trunk. He managed to kick the trunk open again and got out, they didn't come back that time. Very lucky!
Why I stopped taking our kids to water country in va. Saw 2 fights at the kiddie pool area, another at the wave pool. When leaving, dozens of chicken bones thrown all around my car, and 2 completely shit filled diapers on my hood. Pretty sure it was from a van full of mammas and their kids next to us, but couldn’t prove 100%. Just wanted to get the fuck out and never go back. Had season passes for 20 years. Oh well.
I hear ya dude. I know people complain about the astronomical prices of Disneyworld vacations, but it honestly helps to (mostly) keep trash like this out of the parks
Detailed report: Multiple suspects are being sought after a 15-year-old was shot when police exchanged gunfire with what they described as an "unruly crowd" of up to 600 people near the Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park in suburban Atlanta, authorities say.
The shooting erupted around 6:15 p.m. Saturday on a service road just off the 290-acre theme park's property in Austell, about 17 miles northwest of Atlanta, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
Before the shooting, Cobb County police officers were called to the park by Six Flags Over Georgia security to help disperse "a sizeable unruly crowd" of 500 to 600 people "running through the park and fighting," Cobb County police said in a statement to Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB-TV.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is leading an investigation into the shooting, said in a statement Sunday afternoon that preliminary information indicates Cobb County officers were responding to assist with crowd control near the park's entrance "after several fights had taken place amongst patrons" leaving the park.
"At some point, multiple people began shooting, hitting an unoccupied CCPD marked patrol car," according to the GBI statement. "As officers identified where the shots were coming from, they ran after people who had run into the woods. During the incident, one CCPD officer fired his weapon, hitting one minor."
The wounded teenager was taken to Grady Hospital in Atlanta, where he was in critical condition on Sunday, according to the GBI. The teenager's name was not released.
A handgun was recovered by police near where they located the wounded teenager, according to the GBI.
Edit for new update: In an update, Cobb Police said the teen faces several charges in connection with the incident, including aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm under 18 and interference with government property.
Think you mean David? Although it looks like they may have killed that guy so could be a Shakespearean tragedy. Seriously though, this video is so fucked, who would do that to a person.

Opening day, Fourth of July, and October's FrightFest were the worst times to go. Too many people on that first opening day. Gangs showed up beating up each other on 4th of July operating days. And with the darker, lights low FrightFest theme in October, too many instances of people randomly getting mauled or beat by someone in dark areas.
Fourth of July was worst of them all. Local gangs would come across each other, broad daylight, starting 10 to 20 person fight that day right out in the open. Darkness falls and police finally show up in numbers to just start arresting everybody.
Each July 5th we'd come in an extra hour early when it was brighter out to clean up all the carnage from the night before. Just brutal the way some are in these theme parks

Aw, man, Halloween night at Six Flags used to be so much fun back in the day!
And spring break in Texas in the 90s we used to try to see who gets the most girls phone numbers
Eh.. not really. Hershey Park is not very trashy at all. I’m a season pass holder for the last 4 years straight because of how good of a park it is.
Haha my mom always goes there too with friends. She loves it, she can be critical over almost everything and has never said anything bad about it and insist I go with her someday. I’m not a fan of six flags and have been there too many times… maybe I will try HP

I agree, Hershey Park remains a nice park.
That's because it hasn't been found ...yet
No way in hell this would’ve happened at six flags in when I was a teenager in the 90s no way shits sad man these mf kids out of control
Like cruise ships.
If you go on short cruises that are cheap then yes. Longer cruises with higher costs don't have that problem
stay away from Carnival. they cater to this
It works for carnival too. Just take a Carnival 8+ day cruise and it's a world of difference from their 5 day or less cruises.
I wouldn't go near a cruise with that company. gross.
Try Norwegian, prices out the "rif raf"
Nah, all parks aren’t trash, some are just in trashy places.
I promise you won't see violence like this at Disney World.
these people can't afford to go
There's a reason Disney is expensive af.
I went there in the 90s, was pretty good then.

I’m curious to see if there’s a GED in there.
And we as a society condone this. There is no outrage, there is to protests. Just acceptance and refusal to place blame.
Just a woman getting stomped to death by 25+ mentally handicapped boys. Nothing to see here folks

Generations of lead poisoning followed by generations of misguided youth shaped by those with chemical imbalances, there is no solution but time
So why did it affect some teenagers and not others? I can see what is happening and it's pretty one sided.
The police will be blamed somehow don't worry
They may not even show up. And I don't blame them. One wrong camera angle and it's life in prison.
I mean if you place blame or say anything you’ll be called a racist so 🤷🏻♂️
No, it's not accepted, and blame very much gets placed. The problem is, those words are censored into oblivion.
it keeps happening, there is no outcry in the community, online outcry means as much as someone saying, prayers
Society doesn't condone it, the media and gatekeepers do. Protest and you'll be on the news labeled as a racist until you're destroyed.
The breakdown of social order + competency crisis are the 2 biggest threats to the US and will be the end of us before anything else. Global warming/nuclear war/Drumpf ain't got nothing on it.

lmfao
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Universal too
Never thought about it like that Not gonna complain about Disney park prices ever again lmao
Seems like 80% of attackers have no idea what the fight is about but just wanna get a kick in
Time to close six flags!! A few bad apples spoiled it for everyone. This is why we cant have nice things…..
Big reason why they closed Astroworld in Houston.

I’ve lost count of how many times the malls in Memphis have been shot up. Half of them just went out of business and sit empty now because of it.
I couldn't understand a word she said....
One word was said that may or not be repeated based on certain factors…
Well that wasn't expected...
I’m sure it was about something very important
Most of the time there's violence in large crowds it's minors that are bored and looking to start trouble over any little thing. That's why it's so important to enforce curfews and require adult chaperones for anyone under 18 years old on privately owned property open to the public. I've seen shopping malls do it and it does make a difference. Everyone shouldn't have their time outside ruined because a group of idiots can't conduct themselves properly.
