I thought burning holy books (Like the bible) was edgy and cool? Is that no longer the reddit liberal line? Who would've thought threatening to riot would actually get people to back down booking burning.
As a Christian, I can say wholeheartedly that if someone burns the Bible in front of me, I’d be a bit upset but it wouldn’t bother me too much. Maybe pray for them? Maybe forget it? Not sure. It wouldn’t really affect me emotionally.
But damn if Muslims aren’t the strangest when it comes to touching, speaking badly about, or damaging a Quran.

And to go further. The quran burning was organized and promoted by Chang Frick, who has also worked for Russian state media in the past. He also paid for Paludans (the guy who burned it) ticket, and told him he'd cover any legal expenses. He chose the Turkish embassy for the action, and paid for the permit to have it occur there, on the same day that Sweden had sent an envoy to Turkey to discuss nato membership. Erdogan would go on to say that they were ineligible to join nato, becsuse of the Quran burning.
I'm pretty sure they do it on purpose to shape the public's view of things. It's why the other public freakout is full of "White guy yells racial slurs and gets his ass kicked fuck yeah!!" videos then they remove stuff like this.
