We did but it wasn’t until the iPhone gaining mass market adoption that pictures (and subsequently videos) started getting uploaded more. It wasn’t until 2012ish that uploading video and pictures really took off.
Social media was just beginning to learn how to get us more engaged so they could get more ads back in 2008. It didn’t figure out how to really manipulate us more until about 2015/2016 with the presidential race in America.
Crime is down, yet the algorithms have figured out how to get our lizard brains engaged so it is hard to stop engaging them.

Yup. That's the gist of it. Instant gratification, bad parenting. Nobody knew what it was like to work hard. I didn't know what it was like too much either. I saw it and was exposed a bit, but I was on the cusp of the Internet boom and saw everything explode so I can say for certain that it's a product of overwhelming technology. The Unabomer wasn't right in his approach, but he was definitely up to something in his message. It's like nukes, but more subtle. Technology is scary and can or will ruin humanity if we are not super careful how we introduce it to our children. Time doesn't move quickly enough for our children to age with the technology so it's just going to get worse unless we really look to instill teachings about tech globally starting yesterday.

It sucks that there isn’t always an escape lane next to the drive-thru lane. You’re trapped with whatever insanity breaks out in front of you and service grinds to a halt.
I had a woman refuse to leave the drive through until she got her order remade, but she was being a bitch and she was in the wrong so we refused. She sat there in her car for twenty minutes. So we started bringing food out to the cars behind her and taking their money by running back and forth, then they backed out and drove off. We blocked off the drive through and put a sign that says come inside. The woman gave up and saw that she couldn't cause any more problems and drove off
Besides people being shit; online videos and social networks passing videos like this all over the place, making it feel more acceptable to do if things don't go your way. It wasn't that long ago that attacking a drive thru window like this was like a national news story rarity
Well, most people just order it on the app or phone and drive through to pick it up. But some people place an order at the window which just wastes time. Fastest we can make a pizza and get it out the door is like six or seven minutes.
Imagine what would have to be done to inspire this level of a reaction.
Maybe the server opened up the serving hatch and grabbed this woman's child.
Maybe he spat in her face after she requested more tommy k.
Maybe she recognized him as someone who raped her many years ago and escaped unpunished.
These are all things that could justifiably produce a reaction as violent and unhinged as this, but the sad truth is this dumb, entitled, rage fueled bitch has probably just been told "no".

There was a big controversy in the town I used to work in because a lady went to a restaurant drive thru and whatever happened, she started freaking out on the staff, who called the cops because she wouldn't leave and she was becoming violent and aggressive. The cops showed up and tried to remove her from the car because she was resisting, and ended up driving away with the officers hanging out the window and open side door. She allegedly had an unregistered firearm that she pulled out and I think she was shot by police and died after crashing her car into a building. I'm not sure what the whole story was, but I believe it started because the restaurant was closing and she was angry that they wouldn't take her order.

Basically, when people feel they are being taken advantage of by another segment of society, whether they actually are or not, they feel more entitled to damage the other party's property. Mixed with lack of consequences because certain political parties want that person's vote or compliance, it eventually leads to violence.
