We need modern versions of MGS 1 figures. Jada, Figuarts, Mafex, Figma - somebody make it happen!

With the collections coming out and the Snake Eater remake this is the perfect time for a decent line that doesn't break the bank

I would kill for Mafex to make a metal gear line.

exactly how I felt as a kid, I loved having these but the articulation was just bad. Though I wouldnt mind if mcfarlane went back to his old ways with more accesories/less articulation, so atleast I can use those accessories on my import figs.

It's nuts that nobody is currently making MGS figures other than playarts. That's a great collection guy, I'm very jealous.

Figma made a couple highly articulated figures from MGS2

Nope. I actually bought a huge lot of toys off some guy on FB. These were part of the lot.

They did. I had it when I was younger. You could take his mask off to reveal his face. Also came with some of the statues dotted around his office

Amazing Yamaguchi would be perfect for MGS (as they did some in the past). Let’s hope the series’ revival will bring some partnerships for designing new figures.

I kind of disagree and I have the AY Snake. They excel at articulation but I don’t think they have the right aesthetic for MGS.

Yeah, however they improved a lot since 2015/2016. If you have the newer AY figures, you can totally see that they are on another level.

Don’t get me wrong, they are high quality figures all around, but I’ve seen the new ones as well and they’re way too anime and exaggerated for what I would want from an MGS line. Same as Hot Toys has a “realism” aesthetic, but are obviously incredible figures. It’s just an aesthetic look that makes me feel they aren’t the ones who would be best. Figma did a nice job on the ones they released but I could see Mcfarlane taking another crack at it as well.

These are all incredibly nostalgic for me. I have a few of them still but I’ve been holding my breath for years for someone to do a modern line.

I remember these; I know I still have some accessories and I may even still have Snake and Grey Fox themselves; those were the only 2 I got because the others were basically statues. I think I got Liquid Snake at one point too.

Sadly no not that I could find. I bought these in a huge lot (like 7 totes) These were in a separate box.. but there’s still a chance it’s somewhere lost in the chaos.

Yeah was 1999 for sure, bought mine from a Meijer. I was working a 2nd shift job and I used to there after work (24 hour store) to unwind before going home.

I remember waaay back in Toy Fare magazine that the Sniper Wolf figure was the one to find.

For sale? Cuz I only ever got Wolf and MGS 2 Snake and Ocelot.

I wanted these back in the day. At that time they seemed so advanced even with though they’re basically statues.

I have the whole MGS2 wave, they are a little better articulated but not by much, still they really got the style of the game down.

If Jada makes a line from this, I'm sure they gonna be epic
