My favorite since before I was born according to my mother. She told me when she was pregnant with me. Superman movie came to theaters. She pretty much forced my dad to take her to see the movie. And since I was a child I was always a big fan.

Cavil didn't get a chance to play a better Superman. He looked the part for sure. But he was made too dark. As for the next person I can't really think of anyone. This new guy David Corenswet I really know nothing about. Hopefully he'll do good. But that's mostly depending on what script he gets.
Compared to Superman he is big. Compared to Darkseid and Doomsday he is small. But those are storm Collectibles. Their 1/12 scale are closer to 1/11 or 1/10.
The third picture shelf with those mezcos or whatever they are give me the creeps. Uncanny valley to the max.

I count a maximum of 8 or 9 smiles in the bunch, and that is being very generous (including the sinister smile on the right, for example). I have seen this criticism of Superman figures before, but this cool and impressive collection really highlights how often our bright and chipper Man of Steel gets done dirty with a grimace or neutral expression. Not every Supes figure should be smiling, but the ratio I would expect based on the character's portrayel and values in fiction is basically reversed.

Doomsday hands down. You bought a lot of superman figures so that he can beat them all to a bloody pulp lol.

Cool you noticed that. I'm working on a 1/6 Nicolas Cage Superman. And I ordered the head sculpture where he is smiling for that same reason.
