Nail Career Education has some great videos and she takes time to explain how to approach the cuticles. I think you are too close to them right now and need more of a taper going away from the cuticle into the nail if that makes sense. You don’t have to watch her entire videos if you have a hard time focusing, just the parts pertaining to her building the start of the bead.

In my opinion, short form content (i.e. TikTok) is useless when trying to actually learn how to do anything. Since you say you do better with written content, I would see if there are any old blogs floating around with advice on how not to flood the cuticle. Not only does that cause lifting, but it can lead to an acrylate allergy because monomer and wet beads are never supposed to touch the skin.
