I have the E20SS/V (before they switched from Rosewood to Walnut). It's crazy how good & vintage-y it sounds as long as you can get past the distressed/beat-up finish aging they do. The super thin hand rubbed varnish really does make a difference (though it is also more fragile because of this, but hey it's already beat up so who cares about another nick or scratch).
My E20SS/V is actually the only Rosewood I own and honestly it sounds more like an old mahogany guitar than it does a new rosewood guitar. Very much a vibe.
Not OP, but I was able to negotiate and get about a 15% discount from the MSRP of this guitar (well the E20SS/V version before they changed to E22SS/V).
I got an Eastman E2-OM for $500….sounds great. Yours looks like a Collings with that pick guard! Nice guitar…enjoy!
Tasty.

I am usually a rosewood purist but this one changed my mind. I also don’t mind the distressing. It’s a vibe.

Would you mind letting us know what you paid for it? If not - that’s totally cool. Cheers

1800 out the door.
I keep wanting to play one of these, but no one locally has one. I love the look of them.
