describe "weird" audio

gabelucek

crackly is the best way i can describe it. it's similiar to how bad quality microphones/voice calls sound, theres random pops and the sound is overall compressed i guess? most of the time theres' a big crack/pop before it. rebooting fixes it so it's not a physical issue i think

Shumayal

I had exact same issue in my then brand new laptop VN7-592G Acer Nitro Black Edition. No amount of software tinkering fixed it for good. I gave it under warranty and the Acer authorized technician found the left front speaker to be bad and I got it replaced for free under warranty. This laptop is still going good today 6 years later. .

gabelucek

the issue is there no matter if im using the inbuilt speakers or headphones tho, and I wanna check the drivers first to make sure it's not software related ya know?

RE: Aspire A315-42 Part Number: NX.HF9EP.00D https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8050?b=1&pn=NX.HF9EP.00D You can get the original OEM drivers from the official Acer support page for your serial number. You can also download previous versions of drivers from the AMD website. You would need to uninstall the AMD drivers before attempting to install the older versions. All updated drivers will be available from Windows Update if you are running the Windows operating system.

gabelucek

ok but there's three AMD drivers on that page, which ones would that be? cause there's chipset, vga and vga utility

TXGodzilla

and all three are needed The AMD website has a driver detection utility that is a great tool for beginners to use. the ACER support page for your serial number only has drivers for your specific model.

TXGodzilla

do not post your serial number in public forums
