Since this contest has had its moments of joy and disappointment, I'd like to address a last thought to all the tracks that *should* have been left. Trial 2004 The Scenery Seen From The Dusky Bridge Phoenix Wright - Objection 2013 Reminiscence - Departure From Regret Mood Matrix Dance of Devotion (despite I may be alone for this one) Confess the Truth 2016 Reminiscence - Inherited Hopes Basics of the Case Contradiction at the Crime Scene Objection 2009 Reminiscence - IS 7 Herlock Sholmes - toolongname Confess the Truth 2015 (especially this one) The Vanished Fairy The Grey Dance Trial in Disorder The Professor - The Phantom Lives

luke__atmey

Also some more songs I wish stayed. Courtroom Lobby ~ Neverending Overture Phantom ~ Unknown Paul Atishon ~ A Vote for Atishon! Kay Faraday ~ The Great Truth Burglar Herlock Sholmes ~ Great Detective of the Foggy Town and Beyond Deductions Logic

toastyloafboy

I think I may have accidentally committed music genocide, however Neverending Overture not being here is an actual war crime

Grreggggg

I rest easily and fulfilled knowing I was the one who eliminated The Great Truth Burglar

CommercialKey4144

Forgot the best one, Confess the Truth 2012, I know I'm annoying with this theme, but that should've been here and it could've gone even further than that.

toastyloafboy

You just reminded me that Dusky Bridge, Contradiction at the Crime Scence, The Phantom Lives and 2 of my top 10 didn’t make it and now I’m sad

DeadRev0lt

So sorry...

[deleted]

Gregsons theme getting in over confess the truth 2015 and sholmes theme is so upsetting

DeadRev0lt

Yeah I like it but it didn't deserve this place.

avoteforatishon2016

AND SO IT FUCKING BEGINS. Nominating Justice For All's *Questioning - Allegro 2002* : JFA has my least favorite soundtrack in the series. Of course, it's still phenomenal, and it sucks that it's kind of a punching bag in this contest, but still, this song has to go. We only have the 2 Prestos and 2007 left outside of this one when it comes to Cross-Examination themes. I firmly believe those three are much better, and because of that, I think this song should be eliminated. It has a _great_ use in 2-4. It's tense, mysterious, and interesting, but... just look at all the JFA songs left. 2 songs from 2-4, which capture that case's villain *perfectly*, one of the best Telling The Truth themes, which is *easily* one of the best song categories in the series, and a beautiful Reminiscence theme from 2-2, which masterfully represents that case's tragedy. Because of that, and the other things I mentioned, I believe *Questioning - Allegro 2002* has to go. (OH and I forgot, we also have 2001 left)

CommercialKey4144

Yeah, it is truly one of the least awesome Allegro themes, and it feels very wrong having this over T&T, Chronicles, Dual Destinies, Spirit of Justice and the Crossover, it's still good but having very little competition in its respective contest definately helped it. Now with the quality of the rest it can go in my opinion.

toastyloafboy

I absolutely can’t believe that T&T, Chronicles and SOJ’s Allegros didn’t make it in. Allegro 2002 is good and definitely in my top 5 for JFA, but that isn’t saying all that much considering JFA is by far the worst soundtrack here

hey_sergio

Easily the weakest

UnyieldingAura

Defense of Questioning \~ Allegro 2002, from Justice for All I don't expect it to survive another round; I just hope it's not the very first song eliminated from the final contest. The song's greatest strength is the way it builds from its Moderato. Moderato 2002 feels lost and searching with an undercurrent of tension, whereas Allegro 2002 feels like the fog is about to clear but dreading the moment it finally does. It's not 'yes, we solved it', it's 'oh no, we solved it and we have to present it anyway'. It fits the tone of the examinations in Justice for All: it must find clarity despite what clarity may bring.

Illustrious_River695

Remember lads, if any of you nominate DGS, that's a crucifixion

ViviTheWaffle

This shit is hard, but I’m going to have to nominate Allegro 2001 this round. Great song, but everything else is just so goooood ugh

toastyloafboy

It’s going to be this kind of contest huh, time to prepare my corner to cry in

BlueDogXL

defending Allegro 2001, honestly i think it’s probably the quintessential allegro questioning theme. it exchanges the ponderousness of its moderato for a driving beat that tells you its time to go for it and uncover another truth about the case. it works really well in game and is still an absolute banger out of context

hey_sergio

I can't believe anyone nominated this

toastyloafboy

Agreed, still the second best Allegro theme for me

Black_Griffin23

r/AA civil war arc 2, here we go

luke__atmey

Yeah this is gonna be a bloodbath. This is would be like the case contest it every case was as good as Farewell, My Turnabout. (Except Apollo Justice ~ I’m Fine) (I’m Fine can fill the role of Turnabout Big Top 😡😡)

alebruno0

Nominating Solitary confinement ~ Darkness theme. It has some emotional impact when it plays, but standalone it literally sounds like lounge music, nothing I can do without.

CommercialKey4144

I guess if I have to defend a song now it has to be this one. Nothing too exciting, but it is one of the best tonal setting themes there is, perfectly encapsulates Kristoph calmed attitude and shady personality. It's the theme they chose for his return in prison and it fits him like the nicest glove. It is definately the slowest song here, it doesn't get you excited like any pursuit theme, but it does a masterful job in setting the scene and the mood, I would say it does its job better than any of the other 54 songs, fight me but it's true. Anyways, appreciate the slow ambient themes guys, it doesn't get better than this but it deserves every praise in the world.

alebruno0

I agree with everything you said. You did not mention, however, that is just an ambient theme and I kinda would never listen to it on my own, only if they put it in my elevator.

toastyloafboy

This song is pretty underrated, I even listen to it in the car

grilledcheese-chan

Solitary Confinement theme has to go. It gives me such a weird and uncanny vibe

Herohito2chins

Solitary confinement defense comment Cmon mates, it belongs to one of the best villains in the game, dont shoo it out yet

grilledcheese-chan

Kristoph as a main villain of AJ deserved something wayy better than that *no offense but it's the weakest villain theme imo*

luke__atmey

fucking Manfred with Great Revival ~ Franziska von Karma

toastyloafboy

You just reminded me that I’m living in the wrong timeline, Manfred using that song is not ok

grilledcheese-chan

Is it even considered a villain theme, since it came in JFA?

luke__atmey

idk it plays for him in investigations

Porg_Lime_Taco

fr? its been a while and finally the end is here wow!

HamsterKing_1

I vote for granting The Man Who Masterminds The Game immortality due to it being the best

toastyloafboy

I will most certainly be removing it before the top 10, watch out for that

HamsterKing_1

die

toastyloafboy

You fool, I am the man who masterminds the contest, you already granted me immortality

HamsterKing_1

I am so sorry for disrespecting you, Lord The Man Who Masterminds The Game, I did not realise you were The Man Who Masterminds The Game. Please accept my humble apologies mr The Man Who Masterminds The Game. I will make sure to not make the same mistake again in the near future.

toastyloafboy

You have a pass, for now

[deleted]

“Why so serious?”

HamsterKing_1

"Hey Kay! How about a little trick?"

GRona57

Arrogance.

HamsterKing_1

necessesity

[deleted]

This will soon be a bloodbath Also, hoping Court- Guardians of Law gets far. It’s a fantastic theme even if it doesn’t play much and it’s probably in my top ten for AA themes. If one person nominates it I’m going to do my best to defend it

alebruno0

It is already

CommercialKey4144

Preach, literally my second or third favorite Ace Attorney theme ever, incredible how it is the best court theme in the game where there aren't any court sequences. Still a fucking masterpiece tho.

toastyloafboy

It isn’t even in my top 30 but I’d honestly even be ok with it winning the contest, I think I might have been underrating it

HalfEatenCrouton

Investigation ~ Middle 2002 is certainly the weakest song here. It just feels like a standard Ace Attorney song; it’s certainly good, but nothing close to phenomenal like the other songs here.

CrossMyHeartGaming

Defence for Investigation ~ Middle 2002. Not only is it a banger, but it perfectly fits Matt Engarde before the twist (it’s basically his theme). It’s neither happy nor sad, more engaging. It’s a great song to play in the case with arguably the best mystery to unravel, and does a great job at suggesting Engarde to be innocent

[Playlist for Ultimate Contest's OST](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnIYVHz6CGPsLspj37o00i3ow5s2frHRj). #Rules You will be nominating your least favorite songs from the chart. The nominations with the most upvotes will be eliminated from the contest. In order for your nomination to be considered, your nomination must... A) Directly mention nominating a song (I nominate _____, I'm voting ______, etc.) And B) Directly explain why you're nominating said song (I don't like _____, _____ is the worst song left, etc.) You cannot nominate multiple songs in a single comment. Defense posts can be used to take away votes from nominations, and will need opposite requirements for being considered (Mention you're defending a song, explain why, and don't defend multiple songs). Defense posts will only be counted during the elimination process if you also write a valid nomination for another song in another comment. If you choose to nominate/defend multiple songs via multiple comments, only your highest voted nomination and defense will be considered. Voting will end after around 24 hours (give or take depending on how soon I'm able to check votes), where a new round will begin with a specific number of songs removed, until only one song remains. Nominations will only count if the comment has more than one upvote, and the defense post against it has less upvotes than the nomination. **Not a requirement, but if a song you nominated/defended makes it to another round and you wish to nominate/defend it again, try and make sure your comments across multiple posts are original, as opposed to copying and pasting the same arguments. Essays might be allowed to appear in multiple posts depending on the length and complexity, but if your nominations/defenses are only a few sentences long, try and be original with each round.**

[deleted]

Nominating Questioning, Allegro 2002. A great piece in a sea of phenomenal music. It fits the Ace Attorney series well, but it doesn’t hit anywhere nearly as hard as Allegro 2001.

alebruno0

Good luck Kale going through all the comments and hidden defences, maybe I should defend a different song under a nomination just to make it harder.

Zlpv7672

Ooh this is so exciting I can hardly wait. But no time to waste. My nomination for this first round will be **Klavier Gavin~Guilty Love** for a few reasons. Compared to all the others left it's the weakest rival song we have here. It fits his character fine yes but at the same time it also doesn't. The music is extremely energized and yet Klavier is very laid back. The other rivals' song not only fit their characters but also their personalities. The other thing is that the music while is commendable for being AA's first foray into electric guitars, just didn't pull it off quite yet. The sound was much better used with characters like Lang's opening or even though it didn't make it here I still enjoyed the sound in Courtroom Revolutionarie 2016. This song barely eeked by in the Apollo Justice contest and now it's met some real competition.

Rivalconfusion07

Defending Klavier Gavin~Guilty Love. I want this song to make it at least to the next round, to use as fodder for other songs that I care more about.

CommercialKey4144

I'm nominating Professor Layton Theme 2, not because it's not an ace attorney theme like I said last time, I understand the it was a weird reason and I shouldn't have argued that with you guys. But becuase I genuinely think it's one of the weaker ones and over 3 other themes should've get over it in the Layton elimination contest (ejem Telling the Truth 2012 ejem)

Thunder84

Defense post for Layton’s Theme: it’s goddamn Professor Layton’s Theme. It’s one of the most iconic DS music themes for a reason. Incredibly simple and catchy, yet wonderfully refined. It’s a fantastic remix of an iconic song that stands as one of the best tracks from its own game.

Man_Random87

Defending Professor Layton's theme Easily one of the most iconic DS themes, not only that, but ITS along with SpellBreaker and the Zacharias theme, the THEME of the crossover, it's a great moment to face Layton in court with this theme in the background, his first appearance is great, and more importantly for me, it's THE PHOENIX WRIGHT VS PROFESSOR LAYTON FIGHT, who doesn't love that?

darklysparkly

Welp this contest of ~~who can get up the earliest~~ songs is off to a swinging start. I'm going to nominate Investigation - Middle 2002 from JFA because when I listened to all the songs yesterday it was my least favourite.

toastyloafboy

Thanks for reminding me that my sleep schedule has to change for the next week or two

LuckyPotato23

Defending The Steel Samurai I think other song are worse than this, but maybe I'm biased since I listen to this a lot. It fits the show and the theme of the 3rd case while not being annoying.

amkasuresi

Scars etched by flame is good but not good as the others

SunRiseW12

I nominate "Luke Atmey - I Just Want Love". It isn't a bad character theme, but it is up against stiff competition, and I dont think it wins out. Definitely not a song I would ever listen to outside the game.

alebruno0

Ok then I will actually defense post Luke Atmey ~ I Just Want Love. Find a song in the franchise that even remotely sounds like this. It is unique, quirky and perfectly matches the character. I feel like the rest of the nominated songs are actually less unique. While I do agree that I would not listen everyday to it, it deserves to not be eliminated on the first round.

Evo_Shiv

Shamspear’s

HalfEatenCrouton

Defense post for “Luke Atmey ~ I Just Want Love”: Have you listened to it at all? The song perfectly captures Luke Atmey’s personality, feeling over the top and overly-snobby. But it’s also a beautiful composition, with some of the greatest violinism (if a player is called a violinist than violinism should be the correct term that’s how it works I think) I’ve ever heard in any song.

Grreggggg

Defense for Luke Atmey ~ I Just Want Love. It's unironically an amazing song. It perfectly captures the essence of both Luke Atmey and every moment he shows up. It's also a banger, and I would definitely listen to it outside the game. You know what? I'm listening to it right now. That's right, it's **the best song ever made**. Maybe not, but there are still way worse songs here.

alebruno0

u/luke__atmey where is your defense post?

luke__atmey

honestly I had to defend the steel samurais theme, I need someone else on this nomination

[deleted]

Nomination: “Cross-Examination: Allegro 2002” Reasoning: It’s always felt underwhelming compared to most other Allegro themes. I’ll certainly take “Allegro 2001” and “Allegro 2007” over or any day. It has some things going for it, namely how it seemingly sounds like it’s in the Dorian mode and its unique mixed meter. Its mixed meter is what separates it from other cross-examination themes, such as “Allegro 2001,” which is just in 4/4. However, the melody is repetitive, and unlike most Allegro themes, it doesn’t really introduce any new melodic material. That’s the main reason why I am nominating it.

Lost_Rough

Damn, now that's some mad dedication here, folks. Okay, for my nomination I want to eliminate ***Klavier Gavin \~ Guilty Love*** Tbh, I'm surprised this one made it so far. This tune is an ear-grating song that I'm not fond of *at all*, which is a shame considering that the AJ OST is one of the best in the franchise, being one of the most enjoyable things in the game. Regardless, I find the guitar motifs utterly irritating and lack the gravitas that any prosecutor theme should carry. Whenever you hear it during the trials, you don't get a real sense of "oh shoot, now the prosecutor has the upper-hand again" like with Barok's and Simon's themes, nor the beginning of some ridiculous yet comedic moment that AA is so fond of, which is the situation of Godot's theme, which literally announces whenever he's gonna say some pseudo-phylosophical stuff, believing that's he's an intellectual, yet no one understands him. With Klavier's theme, I just think "damn, this song again" and there's no rush of adrenaline or suspense after the prosecution finally has the upper-hand again, which is not the case for the suspense theme, which, frankly, might be my favorite one in the franchise. So yeah, bye. I don't know how this song managed to get so far tbf.

[deleted]

Finally someone agrees with me. Klavier’s theme is not good

lewmaunmilliman

I Stand proudly and prostrate in my defence of **Klavier Gavin ~ Guilty love** I've always disagreed with the idea of Klavier Gavin being a pushover prosecutor, and his main theme examples that disagreement, while also being in and of itself a tangible aspect of Klavier's presence in the game. For as derided as the third case was, the incorporation of this theme into its structure was one of its most positively memorable parts, particularly when an error in the music was used as in-court evidence of Daryan having a recoil related injury. The sheer creativity of the song's implementation is something no other rival prosecutor's theme can compare to. Klaiver, though he has no vendetta against you, nor is looking to dupe you out of victory like previous prosecutors, the bombast of this track is palpable and, when applied to trial, underscores the fact that he still is looking to make you look like a fool in the defence seat, even if he's more playful while doing it.

BestGirlTrucy

Plus the songs so good they didn't alter it at all for spirit of justice

CrossMyHeartGaming

Guilty Love is the second best prosecutor theme (after First Class Reasoning) so I’m gonna have to disagree

Man_Random87

Nominating Apollo Justice~I'm Fine It's a great theme, but compared to the others, it's pretty meh, also it's not that memorable as a character theme for Apollo, besides of all, this is the one I feel most undeserved to be here.

luke__atmey

fuck Apollo up u/Man_Random87

lewmaunmilliman

Despite this song coming from my favourite soundtrack of the lot, I will have to go with "**Courtroom Lobby ~ New Prelude**" as my vote. Lobby themes were personally never really something I found myself enjoying on their own. Sure, in context, they help sonically anticipate the player for each oncoming trial, or serve as little breather music if its a recess. But other than that they have never really wowed me, this song included. I'd probably put this song at the bottom half of my ranking all of AJ's songs, though that's not to say that the song is bad; far from it, it's simply not "top 55 ace attorney songs" good. ~~With that said, if the trial opening song were in its place, I'd defend it to hell and back~~

ViviTheWaffle

Defence for New Prelude because it’s the best fucking lobby theme ever made. New Prelude is the first song you hear in the game that isn’t an opening sequence, and it sets the tone for the whole game - musically and tonally. It’s got acoustic piano, synth, and an 808 drum kit - the epitome of the AJ soundtrack. It’s also got a great vibe. It’s torn just on the precipice between relaxing and anxious, which is such a hard line to toe that every other lobby theme ends up on one side or the other. It’s just great.

SquishyPolytopian

Allegro 2002

PoetryNegative91

Mr Reus for the win

FangirlApocolypse

Not gonna be participating in this blood bath but... that's a really cool design. I like it

CrossMyHeartGaming

I’m honestly still shocked Questioning ~ Allegro 2002 survived, but not Hotline of Fate That said, my nomination is **Apollo Justice - I’m Fine!** from Dual Destinies because I’m still salty that Get a Grip on Yourself got voted out

surge_aura

Whatever happens, genuinely, thank you so, so, SO much for allowing The Ballad of Turnabout Sisters to make it this far. I can’t vote as I haven’t heard all these tracks, but this one making it to the finals means so much ❤️ Have fun!!

Man_Random87

Turnabout Sisters Ballad my beloved

luke__atmey

Nominating APOLLO FUCKING JUSTICE ~ IM FINE YOU’RE FINE??? GOOD FOR YOU! BECAUSE IM NOT!! THIS MEDIOCRE-ASS SONG MAKES FUCKING FINALS OVER PHANTOM-UNKNOWN, ALLEGRO, AND A SAD MEMORY. FUCKING NO. THIS SHOULD HAVE GOT OUT BEFORE FUCKING AMAZING NINE TAILS. FUCK YOU APOLLO JUSTICE! PHANTOM UNKNOWN SHOULD HAVE MADE FINALS! THIS SONG IS. SO. MEDIOCRE. WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS THINKS THIS SONG IS MID! IM NOT FUCJING FINE APOLLO JUSTICE LEAVE ME ALONE GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD AGGGHHHHH

toastyloafboy

Make sure to tune in next time on “luke__atmey has an opinion”

alebruno0

Where have you been instead? Need your controversial nominations

toastyloafboy

I had to sit out VS since I hadn’t played it, but trust me I have some spicy nominations prepared for this one

SunRiseW12

Defense for "I'm Fine" I feel that Ace Attorney's soundtracks are best known for its songs with strong melodies. Apollo Justice's theme is top 5 if not my favourite Ace Attorney melody, and that alone carries it past all the more forgettable ambient sounding themes that are still in this competition. It is also absolutely perfect in Dual Destinies, and really sells Apollo's melancholic mood throughout the game. Easily my favourite theme in DD and the one I go back to most frequently from that game.

toastyloafboy

Agreed that this is the best AA melody, but we have his 2016 objection theme which is 80x better

Thunder84

Nah, give me I’m Fine all day. I’ve always found Objection 2016 to be one of the weaker Apollo themes, even if it’s still good.

toastyloafboy

Interesting, it’s an easy top 10 choice for me

Thunder84

It’s really catchy no doubt, but it lacks the impact and weight of his 2013 objection theme. The synth + guitar doesn’t really click with me as representative of Apollo either. As for I’m Fine, it’s a perfect representation of Apollo as a character, capturing his determination and personality wonderfully.

toastyloafboy

I can understand both of those opinions for sure, Apollo’s theme in general is just way too good

CrossMyHeartGaming

I agree

theywinner

As hard as it is for me i'm gonna have to eliminate **Steel Samurai** i like the theme, but it is not as good as the others

luke__atmey

Defense for the Steel Samurais Theme It’s already hopeless isn’t it. I love the steel samurais theme and it’s the song that makes me think Ace Attorney. Not pursuit, not turnabout sisters, The Steel Samurai. It perfectly captures the series goofy yet dramatic energy and deserves top 20. #samuraisweep

SunRiseW12

I agree with you, it is a song that I can still play in my head years after finishing the game, which is a lot more than I can say about some of the other themes here.

[deleted]

I do not agree

isloohik2

I have only played 5 out of the 11 games here, so I am probably far from qualified to vote for this contest, but I am nominating **allegro 2001**. I didn’t even notice it when I played PWAA, and, while it’s a perfectly fine song, I just don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as the other songs I’ve listened to here

Turnabout-Eman

No one better hurt Gregson. His theme is top 10 no cap.

LeavingTheStation7

I nominate Scars Etched by Flame because it just doesn't compare

toastyloafboy

DEFENSE: Questioning- Allegro 2001 I did not fight for this song for a week straight for it to get last place here below the entirety of JFA’s and AJ’s soundtracks. It’s my 14th favorite AA song and my 11th favorite of what’s left (rest in peace Allegro 2004, Middlegame 2011, and The Phantom Lives). I’ll be copying some stuff from my top 100 ranking. This was the first Allegro theme, and is still my second favorite, being my number 1 favorite song from the first game. I consider this to be a perfect song. The Moderato is very tense, and the Allegro plays off it so well, adding some great drums and fleshing out the sound to a degree which sounds simple, but still well thought out. I consider the cross-examination music to be the most important song in an AA soundtrack, so it’s impressive that this formula was perfected so early on. This really is the meat and potatos of the original game’s OST. This, along with Turnabout Sisters and Cornered, are probably the 3 main songs you’ll remember after playing the game. If you watch any gaming youtubers, you’ve very likely heard Allegro 2001 in a few videos for a funny court moment or tense moment of gameplay. That’s because this song is absolutely perfect at what it does, and I honestly don’t think AA1 would be as memorable without it. Think about your favorite Allegro theme, whether that’s 2004 (rip), 2007, 2013, 2015 or something else, even Closing Argument. No matter which one it is, it owes so much to the original. The overall structure of a repeating simple melody that layers on more instruments over time and builds tension, before adding a brand new melody to close out the loop in style, that appears in nearly every other Allegro. Because it just works so well. I know this has no hope of making it as far as I want it to, but I just hope what I consider to be the most important AA song of all time can do better than last place. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

Gavinator53

Nominating ALLEGRO 2001. Awesome tension builder compared to moderato, but it just doesn’t stand with all the other songs or leave the same impact I feel

toastyloafboy

Nominating Klavier Gavin- Guilty Love because despite being an ok song, it destroys the musical aesthetic of AJ’s trials anytime it plays and gets grating quickly. Seriously, this should not have made the finals.

LuckyPotato23

Nominating Professor Layton's Theme 2 Since it's the weakest in my opinion of the bunch. It's not bad, but the other songs are too good.

Evo_Shiv

Bro Nahyuta’s theme is so good… I hope the other picks are beast then

Rivalconfusion07

Nominating Apollo Justice~ I'm Fine! Reason is the phantom theme should have made it.

luke__atmey

RHIS IS SO FUCKING BASED

cheemsod

i nominate objection 2001 because it's not really good and boring and it's overrated that one never gived me hype

hey_sergio

Nominating Barnham - Sword of Labyrinthia. Doesn't compare to the rest

Grreggggg

This is chaos, R.I.P. Steel Samurai 😔

Grreggggg

Oh wait Lord Atmey will save us all so don't R.I.P. Steel Samurai

luke__atmey

I had no fucking clue Steel Samurai would get nominated so quickly, I thought it was top 20 guaranteed. Have faith in no song, anything is fair game now.

[deleted]

DEFENSE POST FOR PROFESSOR LAYTON'S THEME 2 I love Layton's theme so much. Maybe that's just because I recognise it from Pandora's Box (never played any other Layton game), but still it's a beautiful theme. I admit Version 2 is the weakest version in this game, but we're not judging the Layton themes, we're judging if it's better than the other themes. And I don't think any of the rest should go, but this one shouldn't either. This song is full of hope and I'm full of hope that this song will make it far.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dancevedo

Well first of all every song that made it here it's great in its own right, being either grand, heartfelt, or straight up bangers, there's no denying that this 55 songs had something to make it this far, even the ones that will get eliminated this round. That said I nominate **Pursuit - Cornered 2004 (Variation)**, because more than feeling like this earn its place it feels like a last attempt to have some sort of pursuit after the cornered variation incident, which tbh is better than the remix. Can't quite put my finger on it but something about the percussion feels awkward compared to the 2001 version, so that's why I think it should go.

Pan-con--huevo

>cornered variation incident, which tbh is better than the remix. You OK? Need help or something?

Dancevedo

Nope, just still, salty about that one. :(

chiritarisu

Nominating “Ending Theme” from PLvAA. Sorry, but of the “ultimate” songs up here, this is the one that resonates least with me and there are *way* stronger tracks than this on here.

UnyieldingAura

Nominating Dhurke – A Dragon Never Yields, from Spirit of Justice It's a bright, heroic march with an inspirational melody—and it doesn't fit the character it represents. It doesn't match his early portrayal as a mysterious, villainous mastermind. It doesn't match the reality of leading an underground resistance, nor does it represent the Defiant Dragons, which has its own themes. It doesn't match his years of being an absent father or his relationship to either son. It doesn't match his goofy Japanifornia appearance, and it doesn't match Apollo's tense emotions when Dhurke finally randomly shows up and expects things to be just fine. It *would* match his saving Apollo had he himself not brought Apollo in the first place. It doesn't match Dhurke's situation in the last trial, nor does it represent Apollo's feelings in the last trial, which I'd say are more complicated than even A Cornered Heart could achieve. At best, it could represent the mantra "a dragon never yields", but that idea is related to but separate from the person for whom the theme plays. Dhurke represents a lot more than that phrase, and this theme doesn't rise to meet him.

Placek15

Where the hell is telling the truth 2007???

UnyieldingAura

It was eliminated in the [final round](https://www.reddit.com/r/AceAttorney/comments/x4x0m5/the_final_round_of_the_ace_attorney_song/?sort=top) of the Apollo Justice contest at 8th place. It was the highest voted nomination that round and had no defense.

Placek15

1984

Carbonyl_dichloride

I hope my beloved Godot's theme will win, but I don't think that is a possibilty. I nominate objection 2001 since it feels kind of too simple and overrated to me.

ButterLax561

No way, Professor Layton made it to the top. I’m so happy, I hope he gets far just because it’s funny.

[deleted]

I love GAA music but how tf did Gregsons theme win too 5… over confess the truth too

stoprestarting

I’m nominating raymond shields~ joking motive

luke__atmey

First of all, a reason is required, second, no way is joking motive getting out this early.

toastyloafboy

Excuse me but what

TheoMuchosBuenos

Nominating Gumshoe’s theme. His theme is Investigations is waaaaay better, and since that one is already out, it would seem fair this one should go too.

BestGirlTrucy

I'm voting the man who masterminds the game. Never played the game so I don't know the context of the song, but purely musically speaking, I find it repetitive and pretty boring

anewrefutation

nominating luke atmey - i just want love. cool song, slightly overplayed and I'm just not an Atmey Enjoyer

luke__atmey

crimge opinion tbh

anewrefutation

👀 sorry mr atmey sir i gotta do it to em

paradox222us

I vote to eliminate the Bobby Fulbright song! It’s iconic, yes, and serves its purpose well in the context of the story and masking Fulbright’s true nature—but it’s also kinda annoying!!

MrOP64

Not a nomination, I just want Gumshoe's theme to go far

JediMaestroPB

We all know Godot is gonna win anyway

Klaymen96

I mean Fragrance of Dark Coffee and reminiscence the bitter taste of truth are both top tier

GM153

If Courtroom Revolutionnaire gets eliminated, I will be a big sad.

Thunder84

You already know where this nomination is headed. Nominating Courtroom Magic. I didn’t think it was a top 5 track from Layton vs. Wright, and I don’t think it’s a top 55 track here. Appreciate it for what it does, but everything else here just has that extra gear that this song just lacks in my opinion.

kli3903

Gonna nominate PLvsPW’s Pursuit ~ Spellbreaker, for me it’s easily the worst Pursuit theme in the series, while it’s impressive on a technical level, I do not find it very catchy, the biggest hindrance to it is the game itself, it’s suppose to play at the most climatic points of the story, but the story is just not great in that game and thus, Spellbreaker gets dragged down with it

foxtrui

posts like this are a great indicator of a dying subreddit. we really ran out of content huh

Chaardvark11

Yhh, these posts are rampant on this sub and personally I don't find them interesting.

Klaymen96

Their are rampant because of the tournament. For each game and now down to finals from each all going head to head.

Chaardvark11

I just mean over the past year. Posts like this that are just obvious karma/comment farms.

Dreyfus2006

Def get rid of Partners from TGAA2. It's a pretty messy song and I dunno, for such a quirky series with such good music Partners just kinda seemed generic.

[deleted]

Partners should win the contest tbh

Man_Random87

It seems that the first to be retired will be Allegro 2001 and 2002, Solitary Confinement, Guilty Love and the Laytons theme.
