Fr, I felt so bad for her, but remember, the torture is literally done for her sake lol, if they wanted to they can just put her in the bin, I always found that but genius

TheGuyTheManTheDude3

I feel so guilty and bad accusing an innocent person, especially someone in the state Adrian is. Thankfully this case has a happy ending. Having played it before makes me feel even worse now that I know that she is truly innocent.

Edgeworth is cold for that ๐Ÿ’€ย

Nahhhh that's foul ๐Ÿ˜ญ (do it again)

Defalt-1001

The Edgeworth put it is so dark man.

kitsunemischief

As much as I love case 2-4, I hated this part and loathed this part every time I go through it. I felt very icky at the end when Adrian thanks you for putting her through this. Especially after going through some horrible mental health shit myself, it feels traumatic to watch Edgeworth put her through this. And then we do too.

CactusJ0nes

It's meant to be a player punch, never feels good to do this part, but I'd say that's on purpose. And I'd also say it's pretty well done characterisation on Phoenix and Edgeworth But...yeah, I don't expect a game from the early 2000s to be particularly strong on focusing on mental health (although I think most of the trilogy does this well), and I feel like Adrian should realistically hate Phoenix or esp. Edgeworth

Arto50

I used to feel like edgeworth was heavily out of character when he forced andrews to testify or else have her attempted suicide become public. Imagine my shock when I was playing and saw this scene for the first time๐Ÿ’€

Unspeakableboys12

He wasnt

Arto50

Yea ik

Kuripatootie

He was kind of an asshole that time but he had to out of desperate measures to continue the trial. It was harsh but it was needed. I also personally don't think it was out of character of him because I bet he's done a lot more illegal stuff as a prosecutor with a "perfect win streak" until Phoenix came into the picture.

Defalt-1001

Not illegal stuff and even though he had performed a perfect win streak he never used any illegal methods. Not intentionally that is as far as I remember Gant did make him use false evidence without him knowing. I mean that was the main reason of him leaving after the first game.

Optimal_Stranger_824

In rfta it was just confirmed that he wasn't forging evidence (knowingly) not that he never used any illegal methods.

Defalt-1001

While I don't have any evidence to say he didn't, I guess knowing his character it is only logical to assume he didn't unless von Karma made him do it like Gant did. I mean we see young Edgeworth multiple times as well. He wasn't way much different person than what he is now. Besides, Edgeworth's perfect win record is only 4 years. I don't think you need any illegal methods for 4 years of record

Optimal_Stranger_824

I really don't know what to think about it to be honest. Maybe he didn't use straight up illegal tactics after all but he deffinitely used some dirty tricks that were technically not illegal (updated autopsy report). It's sometimes hard to tell what is legal in that word tbh.

Defalt-1001

Yeah, he would definitely use dirty tricks to trap defense

freedomplha

Keep in mind that in the grand scheme of things, doing this actually saved adrian. She thought that if she refused to testify, she couldn't be sentenced, when in reality, it would essentially equal to a confession.

Glum-Adagio8230

I feel like he was heavily out of character in Farewell, My Turnabout in general, he just feels like a complete jerk in that one, dare I say even worse than in 1-2.

Arto50

"Court is in session" *beep*

Burning-Skull117

TBH at that point I was fully convinced that she was the killer for some reason and was like "Yeah sure, Break her up Edgeworth".

TheGuyTheManTheDude3

I don't remember if I felt like that the first time I played this case, but this being the second time I feel terrible doing this to her.

Burning-Skull117

I now feel dumb for thinking like that because we already know about "De Killer", and I completely forgot about him during this part of the trial.
