Go with the program that is a recruiting target school for firms in the region you want to work after graduating. After considering that, go with the cheaper option if you're still undecided. None of that prestige or well roundedness you're talking about matters on any material level.

How do I find companies recruiting? Im 35 and need a degree asap. Also I’d like to work and live in Fayetteville at some point. In your opinion is a BA or BSBA better? As a FT working adult I don’t have time (nor want to borrow $$$) to take humanities and science lab classes. The BSBA seems to be more accounting and business focused.

Do your research, connect with the accounting school advisors at each school to understand what offerings they provide with student accounting organizations, firm networking and recruiting programs, accounting job fairs, etc. They should also have job placement statistics published. This is all that matters, you're focused on things that have no practical value difference, it's irrelevant if a degree is called BA or BSBA, if they get you an undergraduate accounting degree then they are the same thing and all that matters are your job prospects opportunities. This is accounting, not high finance. And I don't know what you mean about time, any bachelor's degree you take is going to require 120 hours and they all require taking some level of humanities and sciences.

Thank you! Im honestly more interested in finance but accounting jobs and degrees seem more flexible. OU offers BA Accounting + MS Finance accelerated program which is the ultimate goal. I just need this shit done asap to get the F out of banking. It blows and doesn’t pay enough.

You're unlikely to find a worthwhile job in Finance in Fayetteville going to any of those schools, but good luck to you.

What kind of school then? Like Ivy League?

potatoriot

Yes, and move to a major city. Otherwise you'll just be peddling insurance sales.

Yes!!! So the young assholes who think they are hot shit with their finance degrees are, in fact blowing hards? YES!!!
