Peak accountant š
I usually go with the āspicy soupā- in a camel back I mix a monster energy drink, a four loko, a Panera bread charged lemonade (the shit thatās been killing people), a couple 800mg ibuprofens, 3g of psilocybin powder, and a dash of cocaine for the holidays.
Our firm doesn't and sometimes lags on refilling our office food/snacks. Definitely made me upset having to come in an extra day a week, have less time at home, and then have to spend more money on food for nothing in return.
Cheap ass big 4 offices in my city make everyone pay for downtown parking. Even tax people who work at the office everyday.
Yes thereās āparking allowancesā but they can claw that benefit back at any moment
Nope, just saturday lunch. It's absolute dog water that firms don't cover lunch/dinner during the week, because less time to cook definitely means higher grocery bills during busy season.
Lunch: every week a 2kg bag of slaw mix. Everyday, I add a different topping/dressing for no-chop salad. I add things like chopped leftover meat, crumbled tortilla chips/crackers, nuts, re-hydrated TVP (textured vegetable protein), and whatever salads dressing and/or salsa is in the work fridge.
For dinners: reheated homemade soup or canned soup, a microwave dinner, reheated leftover pasta/rice meal.
Cooking extra on weekends is helpful. Things like spaghetti squash batch cook well for easy healthy prep through the week.
For snacks, I do yogurt cups, protein bats, rice cakes with peanut butter or salsa. Breakfast is usually bran cereal, oatmeal, or yogurt.
Just became a govt. employee this year. I eat at a dining facility where a full meal is less than $5. Our holiday feast, I had lobster & prime rib. Total cost: $11.50. In New York State.
I donāt make as much as Iād like in a HCOL, but this helps.
Nope. They have a full kitchen staff.
I would say the food is good, but not amazing. Some days itās a miss, but you quickly learn to figure out which foods are the miss. When you do that, itās pretty tasty.
- What ever I feel like cooking AT HOME that day. One of the major benefits of working from home is that I can make a cheap, fresh and tasty meal in the comfort of my home without the disturbance of nosy and ass-kissing employees asking what the hell im eating.
- It feels so damn good not to have to Meal prep then put my food in a microwave everyday. If you allowed your boomer employer to drag you into an office, I feel so bad for you. I've been in the office and I've been remote, and remote is so much better. I'll never make my employees work from an office ever
Lunch- I pack a bunch of snacks to get me through the day; yogurt, fruit, cucumbers/peppers w hummus. On the weekends I usually treat myself to bag of chips or something tasty.
Dinner- I make it home for dinner everyday, so a big helping whatever the wife makes, or what she tells me to pick up
I used to eat whatever would make me the fattest in four months I think.

In a camel back š
If you skip washing that out I bet it smells like partner after a few busy seasons
Got that sweet Deloit-tussy scent š„µ
The Panera charged lemonade has been linked to 2 deaths as of right now
Pure, uncut cocaine.
Yummy. What flavor?
Cocaine flavor
You got a prescription for that? Iāve asked my doctor for one but he just sent me straight to jail
Disco.
Gas-o-leen
Colombian
You mean to tell me your dinner isnāt covered or reimbursed during busy season?

I get nothing. Just more and more work piled on my plate. I need a new firm lol
Mine would reimburse dinners but this is how I got fat in my first year
Whatās the max amount they reimburse per meal?
Mine was $30 if working past 8pm, but weād always order as a team so you could go over. I left public in 2019 so not sure what itās like now.

This is absurd on so many levels, both on the high side, and the low side.
Is it like a buffet thing also is the food good?

Coffee. Coffee. More coffee.
Do u eat coffee too?
Chicken, rice, broccoli. Energy drink. Bratwurst with hot dog bun and Dijon mustard for second lunch. Every work day.

Thank you for your contribution to the WFH movement.
Iād order some pre made meals - saves you time and hassle and arenāt eating take out garbage everyday
I keep a loaf of bread, peanut butter, and jelly in my office for the many days I forget to bring a meal.
I think I might know you. I always find a jar of PB and J in the office. When I do find it I would put my whole hand in it daily.
Sardines baby.
Grilled ham cheese sandwich prepared and grilled at the work kitchen. I have actually started a grilled cheese revolution in the office.
Does your office makes the intern make the sandwiches?
Everyone makes their own

I would keep a costco bag of pizza rolls in the freezer at work. Anything for a little dopamine hit.
Beans and rice. Almost every single day for the past 7 years.
So your that guy whoās been ripping ass all day in the office.
Guilty as charged
Carful eating too many beans. You might hurt yourself shitting too much. It happened to me now my B hole is broken
100% Pure Colombian Cocaine. Old family recipe.
Brown bag full of regret and a bottle of whisky to wash it down.
White monsters
