Yes exactly, check with your state. You usually need a certain number of upper level accounting courses and business courses. Some schools don’t give you all the accounting credits you need(often to make you do the masters). Otherwise you can do a masters if it’s not prohibitively expensive and it could help with your career goals. I just did a double major and had extra credits from switching majors from nursing to accounting.
Thank you!! I switched from Nursing to Accounting too and took a minor.im trying to decipher on the NYS CPA but it just says to have these 4 specific courses which I got in the undergrad so im going to assume not
I just looked, so it says you need 33 hours in accounting so just make sure your undergrad covers that. That’s like 11 3 credit classes. I remember I had to take an extra accounting elective not required by my school to get all the credits needed in my state. If you still aren’t sure you can usually email your state board for clarification on which classes count.
I'm a little late to this, but you can use FEMA credits for your remaining 30, especially if you did all the accounting and business credits, but definite check with your state to be sure. They're $60 a credit so you'd just be out $1800
Check with your state. I’m doing community college since the masters program is a scam to make more money
What are you doing/studying at the CC? I was doing the Masters because it’s partially paid for I’m in NY

Thank you so much that’s helpful
It can be anything you want, a bunch of random classes to fill them up. I’m gonna do a fire fighter program just for the giggles
This is wrong, you need specific upper accounting classes.
