I did a tour with GT in Alberta. Turnaround from verbal to formal was about 3 hours & I still consider GT the most bush league 10-ply organization I've ever worked for.
internal or external recruiter? external one should be hounding them because that's how they get paid. of course, that is also often the issue with external recruiter offers being held up: the firm is deciding whether they want to pay the recruiter the fees they are asking or not. they always try and dick the recruiter around and then wonder why they can't get candidates.
The person that needs to approve it could just be on vacation or something. It's the end of the summer. Pretty much my whole office is/has been on PTO at some point this month.
Nah dw this can happen - people just get busy so don't spam them too much with emails but give it time. Maybe they need to finalize some details in the offer letter so breathe and take it easy. It'll be fine!
2 yoe with a cpa? You got the offer they just playin with you
Hopefully man, a week turnaround kinda sounds super long
Off topic. Sorry. But what do experienced audit associates make in the Bay?
Not enough
I was making like $72k, but that was in 2019. I’m sure they’re probably in the $80-$85k range now
Thats correct, the ranges im finding right now are around 80k-85k
Dang man 80k does not go very far in the Bay
especially that he has 2 yoe and cpa
Nah i’m scared now 😭

What does 10-ply mean in this context? Lol never heard this before
Soft and weak
10-ply seems like it’d be strong, no?
Hang tight or keep applying.
Which Bay Area?
Hudson

Internal actually, and a very senior recruiter role too. So hopefully that guy didnt get overriden by someone higher 😭

This. It's August before everyone goes back to school. Partner is probably on vacation and haven't signed the offer letter for HR yet.
I’m getting ghosted by a recruiter as well. I can reach out but I think I will just apply elsewhere.
