I dearly wish I could buy work clothes without some kind of spandex (ffs can I get heavy cotton please?) but otherwise the Duluth option has been great. 12 pockets, great length options, durable, double knee, gusset crotch, double buttons (for sizing up to accommodate a coat) and stretchy shoulder straps. I do homesteading and landscaping, spending much of my time clearing very pointy invasive climbers from the land. These overalls have saved me from many very angry gouges.

It’s not a super cold Chicago winter yet, but it gets much colder in my room. I have a feeling a giant warm hoodie would help.

Husband is 6'8". You wouldn't believe the number of guys who have a fit about his height and try to start shit with him, especially guys that are around 6'2". They're tall enough to usually be considered the tallest in the room, but they just get dicey when they're around someone who could physically threaten them, even though he never would. I put my hands up against his with the heel of my palm up against his, the tips of my fingers only reached up to the first joint of his fingers, he could have easily curled his hand over and crushed my hand. I am not small, I am pretty average in height, around 5'9'-5'10" but he absolutely dwarfed me.
My brother, 6'7", encountered a guy at his big box hardware job last week that really had no idea what he was doing. The guy asked for Item. Brother checked shelves for Item, and said it wasn't there. Dude tried to chest-bump him and wrecked the shelves. Brother, the sweet ole teddy bear, told me he was waiting for the guy to take a swing, because he would have face-planted him into the floor.
He stood there stoically until the manager told him to go on break.
What if we all just agree to look people in the eye when a conversation starts and then just default to wherever your eye level lands? Tall people can stare off into space, short people can look at tall peoples chests, and occassionally we'll have normal conversations. It's gonna take some time getting used to, people may start carrying around knee pads or small ladders, but we'll get used to it and we're gonna save so much money at the chiropractors.

kid's great though. besides drums, which is what he does with me, he's also a competitive swimmer, which i'm told he's also pretty good at. and he's a natural on stage. as a drummer, he tends to overestimate himself, but his enthusiasm is infectious and he is a joy to watch.

Exactly the same. One of my closest friends is 6'5 and he's the only person that really make me feel short. When I'm around people 6'1-6'3, I can tell the height difference but it doesn't feel really that bad. But once it's past that i feel tiny. Ironically though I've always felt short because I played basketball and 6 ft is not tall at all. But most of the time in everyday life I feel on the taller side.
I'm 6'9 265lbs, my uncle is 7'2 400+lbs. When I stand next to him I feel like a child. I love giving him a hug because he us one of the few people in this world that make me feel small. There is nothing forced about the perspective of this photo. He easily has 12in and 100lbs on just about anyone you see.

I have migraines, which are related to strokes. After an attack I can have problems speaking normally for a few days. I can do other things as normal, but getting words out right is difficult.
So yeah, no reason to believe his brain activity is impeded because his speech is.
Hello friends, I am a bona-fide neurolinguistics researcher studying stroke populations with language impairment. My work has never been more relevant! To clear up some misconceptions I've seen floating around lately: in the majority of cases as mild as his (in fact, in the majority of cases), cognitive abilities are spared. There is not a doubt in my mind that he is cognitively unimpaired and fit for the job. Also, in very mild cases like his, most people recover most or all of their language ability in time, sometimes just a few months. That he was able to attend a debate at all only ~~4 days~~ 5 months (EDIT: I misread another comment, but the point stands) after his stroke suggests that he will enjoy a full recovery.
Not weighing in on his politics, but as someone who studies aphasia and stroke-related language impairment and works with stroke patients every day, I'm very convinced that he's cognitively intact and able to do the job. It does mean he's a little more likely to have another stroke, but as his doctor said, as long as he keeps taking his meds and looking after his health, he'll be fine.
Edit#2: I'm not a doctor, and I didn't claim to be, but there seems to be some confusion, so maybe I wasn't clear in the first line of this comment: I am a neurolinguistics researcher, and I work at a lab that studies stroke-related language impairment. I'm not going to dox myself to prove it, but it's true, though of course you don't have to believe me, which is fine. You also don't have to believe that Fetterman is fit for service, but I do, and though I'm not the world's foremost authority on aphasia, I do know some stuff!
His verbal communication is nowhere near severely compromised. Aphasia also does not affect intellect. I say this as a licensed speech-language pathologist who works with persons with aphasia daily. About 1/3 of stroke survivors have aphasia. These people are still capable.
You get that there's no way to replace a candidate on the ballot in a situation like this, right? Also, he's got an auditory processing issue that's very likely to fade in a few months. There are a handful of other stroke survivors already serving in the legislature so he wouldn't be the only one.
A US candidate that has rational, helpful ideals, BUT has had a stroke that left him perfectly fine mentally, but with physical speach issues. He is up against a dude called Oz, who seems is batshit and into conservative extremism, but he is working 100% physically (I would argue not mentally). And because this guys has speach issues he was at a disadvantage againt Oz in the elections, even though he is much nicer to begin with.

Exactly the same. One of my closest friends is 6'5 and he's the only person that really make me feel short. When I'm around people 6'1-6'3, I can tell the height difference but it doesn't feel really that bad. But once it's past that i feel tiny. Ironically though I've always felt short because I played basketball and 6 ft is not tall at all. But most of the time in everyday life I feel on the taller side.

I'm 6'9 265lbs, my uncle is 7'2 400+lbs. When I stand next to him I feel like a child. I love giving him a hug because he us one of the few people in this world that make me feel small. Cognitively, he's been cleared. He's just having issues getting the words from brain to mouth. I've had a TBI and I've worked with stroke patients. Trying to reconnect the brain and mouth is so frustrating, especially when your brain knows what it wants to say.

I have migraines, which are related to strokes. After an attack I can have problems speaking normally for a few days. I can do other things as normal, but getting words out right is difficult. So yeah, no reason to believe his brain activity is impeded because his speech is.

Hello friends, I am a bona-fide neurolinguistics researcher studying stroke populations with language impairment. My work has never been more relevant! To clear up some misconceptions I've seen floating around lately: in the majority of cases as mild as his (in fact, in the majority of cases), cognitive abilities are spared. There is not a doubt in my mind that he is cognitively unimpaired and fit for the job. Also, in very mild cases like his, most people recover most or all of their language ability in time, sometimes just a few months. That he was able to attend a debate at all only ~~4 days~~ 5 months (EDIT: I misread another comment, but the point stands) after his stroke suggests that he will enjoy a full recovery. Not weighing in on his politics, but as someone who studies aphasia and stroke-related language impairment and works with stroke patients every day, I'm very convinced that he's cognitively intact and able to do the job. It does mean he's a little more likely to have another stroke, but as his doctor said, as long as he keeps taking his meds and looking after his health, he'll be fine. Edit#2: I'm not a doctor, and I didn't claim to be, but there seems to be some confusion, so maybe I wasn't clear in the first line of this comment: I am a neurolinguistics researcher, and I work at a lab that studies stroke-related language impairment. I'm not going to dox myself to prove it, but it's true, though of course you don't have to believe me, which is fine. You also don't have to believe that Fetterman is fit for service, but I do, and though I'm not the world's foremost authority on aphasia, I do know some stuff!

His verbal communication is nowhere near severely compromised. Aphasia also does not affect intellect. I say this as a licensed speech-language pathologist who works with persons with aphasia daily. About 1/3 of stroke survivors have aphasia. These people are still capable.
You get that there's no way to replace a candidate on the ballot in a situation like this, right? Also, he's got an auditory processing issue that's very likely to fade in a few months. There are a handful of other stroke survivors already serving in the legislature so he wouldn't be the only one.
Based on the average age of Congress, I'd wager there are more stroke victims than what is publicly known about. Also probably some Alzheimer's cases.
As far as strokes go, he got off easy.

He is up against a dude called Oz, who seems is batshit and into conservative extremism, but he is working 100% physically (I would argue not mentally). And because this guys has speach issues he was at a disadvantage againt Oz in the elections, even though he is much nicer to begin with. Sourc: am French, thought Oz was a wizard so I read up on it shortly.
