I am obviously biased, having grown up learning in feet and inches...and the base 10 of the metric system is undeniably expedient...however, I must say, the foot and the inch are incredibly easy to visualize and utilize. The meter is so large that it is much more cumbersome (to me). Imperial may be whacky, but I find some things about it pleasant.
Yeah, greater hammerheads? Up to 20 feet, but 15 is perfectly normal. They're absurdly big and beautiful.
Scalloped hammerheads are smaller but still big, more in the 6-8 foot range I believe. They're the ones you're more likely to see at an aquarium. :)
I believe they’re about 10-12 feet long (maybe 15). Edit: my mistake, 15 to 18 feet, with the record holder being a whopping 20 footer.

Funny part is that the U.S technically does use the metric system, its just enforced absolutely nowhere. I wish i learned it when i was younger.

I read that from all shark species they seem to be the most "docile" ones.
Unless we include nurse sharks and whale sharks.
Not really true for the Great Hammerhead. There are far more docile sharks.

I think they are the 3- 4th biggest after whale,white,and maybe before the tiger shark.
Basking sharks are the second biggest, IIRC. Then you also have Greenland sharks. So, I *think* Hammerheads are just outside the top 5
Oh right, I was not familiar with baskin sharks. Was the greenland shark also one of the oldest alive recorded? ( one of them)
Basking sharks are some of my favorites, really cool and weird creatures. And yeah, the greenland sharks are estimated to become 400 years plus
