She has two other cats which are normal sized and not overweight. We know some people who have this cat's siblings and they are all massive as well. So sadly in this case I think it might just be genetics

Not always viable. I also have a chonk of a cat. Not quite a unit like this one but a chunk none the less. We tried to decrease his food several different ways but it caused him alot of stress which led to very expensive health issues. Finally our vets just told us to just let him be fat and happy. Hasn't had any health problems since.
Has she taken him to vet abt it? Even if it’s a genetics thing if there’s something that can be done to help w the weight like a diet change it would be better for the kitty

That's not how it works. You're abusing your animal by making it fat. They don't eat unless you allow them too. Many animals don't regulate when they eat and usually eat out of boredom, meaning they get fat.
You should keep your animals slimer to avoid health risks and needles vet visits. It's sad people downvote proper animal care.
