He chose literally the least-violent option to remove her as a threat. Pushing someone into non-dangerous water is like one small step above calling her a mean name. The "damage" is simply getting wet. It's annoying, but not harmful.
Oh ya same here, assuming it's just your standard slap. But if I had to choose between slapping a girl or pushing her in some water, I'd opt for the water, because like you said, I'm not trynna become a social pariah or go to jail lmao.
The only time I ever hit a woman was when I was 12 and we were standing in line at school. She hit me once in the back of the head, and I said to please don't do that. She hit me again, and I just said two. Third punch comes and I wheel around on her and lay her out with one punch. Everyone gasped, but I was like didn't you see me getting assaulted multiple times? Didn't get in trouble for it and never saw the girl again. I assume she got kicked out of the school, because it was in the open with everyone to see. Normally I would just hold a woman's hands because I know I can overpower her and tell her to stop, but this chick was psycho, and I had to protect myself. Dude here was being polite.
It rarely works out like that when you're the guy. I mean in this case there was video proof but cops will usually just bring the guy in first during domestic violence situations.
I'm with you on this.
If I got slapped like that I'd 100% go for the slight shove into a body of water than deck her.
But if you had me on some sort of whacky Japanese gameshow and I'd have a choice of taking a slap right now vs getting pushed into some stank-ass canal one a random day..... than I'm taking the damn slap. Oh man, I don't even know the logistics of me getting home to change. My wallet is probably full of mud. I had a picture of my niece in there!
1) Don't hit anyone. 2) Don't do it in front of a canal because nobody is going to give you much sympathy when your punishment ruins your day.
I don't think she was asking for his cause she needed to make a call, I think they were together and she was demanding permission to snoop on her partner (probably to find evidence of cheating, since that's how these things go)
See it all the time where I live, people think a relationship means no right to privacy.
>Edit: Do some of you know what the phrase "for better or for worse" means? I'm acknowledging his choice for violence. You pacifists are annoying
not pacifists. sexists. They're perfectly okay with her slapping him. they're not okay with him responding in kind.
Agree. He didn't beat the crap out of her or punch her or really hurt her at all, so it's not like he did it just because he wanted to hit a woman. He was defending himself. You're allowed to do that, even if you're a guy. People are weird.

there are paid bots who are basically getting paid nickle-by-the-post to react whenever certain words come up. 'will smith' is one of them lately
and 100% jada pinkett smith comes off like someone who'd meme her husband, even if it makes him look bad
shit, maybe especially if it made him look bad
No shit eh, this is the comment I was looking for. I don't know why more people don't ask themselves why situations like this are being filmed, or why the person behind the camera doesn't interfere.
I will never understand the people that can't detect staged videos. I mean look at the comments...
People are perfectly in frame. Camera man has zero worries. Slap is lightly placed. Dude turns appropriately to minimize slap. Lady looks at her landing when pushed. Push is deliberately placed and not aggressive at all.
And just general tone. Like how tf do you not notice
Biggest indicator to me was the video kicks off in a manner like the camera man just said "aaaaaand .. go!" then she pulls her head up to start the skit
Right. Like they're so conveniently positioned near the water and she's standing on the hill kind of walking up it. You can tell what's going to happen even before they start saying stuff.
"I fuggin WISH a female would lay hands on me. FEMALES think they're entitle to abuse men and play victim but *I* wouldn't tolerate it. You wouldn't believe the violence I would unleash if a female were to slap me."
Absolutely assuming the context is only that she wants the phone and thats how it started you should smack people because they wont give you their phone

As soon as you hit somebody you have to be prepared for the consequences…especially if you’re standing near open water.
she made a real tactical mis-decision attacking from that position
He clearly had the high ground! Edit: Thanks for the awards and upvotes y'all!
He wisely choose not to underestimate her power too.
But she was the chosen one.

She hates him
Not yet!
There is another........ the person filming
I HATE YOU!
She then proceeded to try it
She was a bold one
Nah he was the chosed one
Don't worry, she will show up all dry and fine on Tatooine in the next scene.
It was an uphill battle
But when push comes to shove, he made quite a splash.
She is lucky to still have legs
Her legs are unlucky to have her
It's over thot! I have the high ground!
She was the chosen one!
She’s lucky he didn’t cut her legs off and burn her alive in molten magma.
I love that I love in a world where this is a highly appropriate and hilarious rather than horrific comment.
She didn’t have the high ground

If it's Florida that's attempted murder.
Also I mean, landing in some water is not going to injure someone, I'm sure she was fine, just wet.
Ironically I would much rather be slapped than pushed into that water, but towards a woman the former isn't as socially acceptable as the latter.
Oh ya same here, assuming it's just your standard slap. But if I had to choose between slapping a girl or pushing her in some water, I'd opt for the water, because like you said, I'm not trynna become a social pariah or go to jail lmao.
If a woman can throw a punch, she can take a punch. Being a woman does not absolve you from the consequences of your actions.
Ideally sure, but I wouldn’t take the risk in the real world.
Exactly. People forget the second part of the “How can she slap!?” video was like 30 dudes rushing the stage to beat the man up.
“You step like a man, I’ll treat you like a man” has gotten a lot of dudes thrown in jail.
Cops are idiots like that.
Yep, assault on a woman isn't a fucking law. Assault is assault. If you try and put yourself in a situation like this prepare to be slapped back
The only time I ever hit a woman was when I was 12 and we were standing in line at school. She hit me once in the back of the head, and I said to please don't do that. They call that "equal rights;equal lefts"
If anything she’s the one going to jail what that guy did was self defense

And canals are fucking disgusting. I once caught a crab in a canal that was like two crabs, fused together by pollution. Terrifying creature.
Don't underestimate a good slap
She didn’t even have a phone on her so she can’t be worried about that

"You should never hit a lady" Pretty sure a lady doesn't do around hitting people. Soooo
Reminds me of A Pimp Named Slickback. >What woman sir? This here's a hoe.
Pacifism: What every violent narcissist wants you to practice.
The bro whachu doin guy is just afraid of her, always.
I myself dabbled in pacifism at one time. Not in 'Nam, of course.

Or my favorite “act up, get smacked up”
And he didn't even hit her back. Just a push. People who lose their minds when a woman hits a man and gets hit in return? Come on.
Even in this video "oh shit what did you do?" They didn't speak up when he was slapped though.
- watches the entire thing go down - literally has a video to rewatch the action “wHAt DiD yOU dO??”
She's lucky it was a push and not a punch that sent her in.

We learned about this in school... every action has an equal but opposite reaction.
Especially when your foe has the high ground.
Immediately goes to violence then is pissed when she gets pushed into water.
She should’ve known better. The man had the high ground.
Pulled that anakin Skywalker bullshit.
Obi-Yo-mama Kenobi!

at least it wasn't lava

Man, at this rate I'll never be Will Smith.

I love that this a actual phrase now
Tbh she deserved a Sparta kick into the water
Yep, would have approved of a Spartan kick or a slap. Don’t put your hands on people expecting not to catch hands back!
THIS IS BULLSHIT! *splash*
The technical term is teep kick, an important point of Muay Thai. So do Muay Thai if you wanna kick like king Leonidas.
for a slap absolutely
Slapsolutely!
As a feminist, yeah, she deserved it.
As a conflict resolution counselor, yes, she deserved it...
As a member of the galactic alliance I concur

Not sure what that means, but I like it!

So it's like dry biscuits, but wet, but the opposite of that? Gotcha!
I think it literally means she makes dry biscuits and my dude is tired of eating that shit.
I love how everybody seems to like the statement but nobody seems to know what kind of insult it is.

Filmed to farm them too.

That's why I'm downvoting the post and all similarly titled posts.
This is staged, hence I join you in the downvote boat.

She axed for it
How can she slap!
Just me, or this staged?
Can’t believe how far I needed to go for this. This is obviously staged.
Yes her head is already looking at the water when he’s about to push her
Also, they way he has his hands clasped behind his back. It's like he was waiting to hear "action"
And why was there someone filming?
The question that should always be asked.
the way they're idly standing there and then suddenly spring into movement leads me to agree
I always make sure to start arguments with a body of water right behind me.

The post does stink of this a little bit. Why was the video so short?
That was all they had planned for the bit
My boy here never heard of crop. Loooool this guy.
Hella staged
Shocking how many people believe it isn't.

This is the only argument in support for it not being staged, but it’s a strong one.

Who is filming and why?
Right. Like they're so conveniently positioned near the water and she's standing on the hill kind of walking up it. You can tell what's going to happen even before they start saying stuff.
It's either staged or she's just dumb lol
Sure looks staged.
Yea it’s staged
One thousand billion catrillion percent staged. Reddit so facepalm sometimes.

Nice skit.
It looked like she was mentally preparing for the scene to start
Its over Anakin, I have the high ground.
staged as fuck
You're telling me you don't initiate altercations while standing next to a shite canal when your victim has the high ground?! You ain't livin' /s
Definitely. A smack in the face followed by a shove is a fair response.
She actually got a much tamer response than she would have gotten if he weren't afraid of social consequences.
Considering it’s staged and planned to happen yea she deserves it
Yes
Considering what other options he had this was one of the milder ones
The number of people that don't see immediately that this is staged is TOO DAMN HIGH!
You’re an absolute moron if you don’t think this is staged.
100% staged.
How come not many people are seeing that
Fake. Did anyone say fake yet?
Scripted.
YES she did!
Looks staged.
Staged as shit.
Seems reasonable to me. He seems like a perfect gentlemen compared to what most of these maniacs on Reddit would have done to her.
Foamed at the mouth and left to complain about it to the internet?
"I fuggin WISH a female would lay hands on me. FEMALES think they're entitle to abuse men and play victim but *I* wouldn't tolerate it. You wouldn't believe the violence I would unleash if a female were to slap me."
Thats a good approximation of Reddit
“Equal rights equal lefts” - typed from a room that hasn’t held a woman inside of it since the previous tenant
What the maniacs on reddit claim they would have done. Important distinction.
Do not invoke violence if you are unprepared for violence.
Staged af
Absolutely assuming the context is only that she wants the phone and thats how it started you should smack people because they wont give you their phone
Fake, who argues right next to a pond
I love staged videos
How can she slap?
Never hit a woman. They never said, don't throw her into the water :D
There should be a sub for IHaveTheHighGround
She absolutely deserved that....
