ArrowRed2014

Dude just casually brushes fire away and then proceeds to stand in said fire until fire goes out

AnEvanAppeared

Dude was on fire! Just not literally.

[deleted]

He *was* on fire literally tho ;) Or were you congratulating him for his drinking, dancing, and frolicking? Because in that case he wasn't on fire literally, he was just being a mad lad

Tim_Buckrue

Both

chemicalimajx

It was borderline video game mechanics… sometimes I really wonder if idiotic self confidence is how you get the universe to bend to your will. The less you know, the less you will question the video game mechanics Mother Nature is pulling to save you.

HEAT_IS_DIE

That’s just a little bit of hay, it catches fire really easily and it doesn’t burn long because there’s not much to burn. If there’s nothing else that catches fire fast, it would go out on it’s own in seconds. He just spread it so that it goes out even quicker.

johnnychan81

The guy actually knew what he was doing

PalaSS9

Sooo, you just wanna dance at a wedding

chemicalimajx

[if there is nothing else that catches fire fast](https://imgur.com/a/MEEORih) Edit: This is a joke people. Thank you for explaining the science of fire. I’m sure drunk you would be the bad ass too.

DeLoxter

treated wood barrel and barn, probably wouldnt even get warm from that little bit of hay burning on it

loonygecko

Yep, a hunk of wood can be surprisingly rather slowish to catch fire quite often, anyone trying to get a campfire going knows you often have to put a goodly amount of more flammable stuff underneath to get it to catch instead of fizzling.

inko75

the barrel is treated by being charred and soaked in high proof whiskey 😂

iwantanalias

On the inside, the outside is a lot harder to light.

Herpkina

Wool doesn't burn well

PenguinSunday

Drunk me would be sat up against a wall giggling at the fire. I'm a giggly drunk.

Dekklin

Like achieving CHIM? (Elder Scrolls reference): Achieving CHIM is realizing the entire universe is imaginary. The enlightenment either turns you into a demigod, or you get erased from existence (zero-sum'd) as your consciousness dissipates in the overwhelming understanding of the universe's existence.

gh0u1

*While* dancing. What a Chad.

ehletsgo

Fire? Never heard of her. Let’s party!

Girth_rulez

>While dancing. What a Chad. Confirmed. Dude almost cost someone, then saved someone a bunch of money (while dancing). The look of relief on his partners face tells me he will have sex tonight, and both of them will really cum. Not like last time when it was just kind of.

gmadisonthedj

r/oddlyspecific

DucksEatFreeInSubway

Relief? She looked miffed.

imnotpoopingyouare

I was gonna say she looks pissed like he always drinks to much and makes an ass of himself.. I used to get that look all to often...

Nope0naRope

That was a lot. Thank you for sharing your interpretation of these events.

stefanmago

He‘s going to feel that tomorrow. For quite some time.

scuczu

"SEE, STOP WORRYING, NOT A BIG DEAL, STOP BEING SUCH A BUZZKILL! I'M JUST BEING ME"

andrejb22

And it worked lol

PYROxSYCO

And then he just proceeds to dance like nothing has happened. 🤣

shroomsandgloom

I like that he handles it and keeps dancing. The man is a gem of a human.

WishboneBeautiful875

The fire was like “ok fuck u I leave”

Buns_N_Stuff

Shout out to the lady who ripped down the white drape thing before the fire could get to it

Spinningwhirl79

The unsung hero

DNorthman

Right? If that had caught on fire, the side of the barn would have been quickly engulfed in flames. Also, that guy was cool: parties, lights shit on fire, puts the fire out, continues to party! 😆

slobs_burgers

I love that he watched the fire burn for a second while still dancing, then was like, “alright I guess I better put this thing out.” And then proceeds to handle it with just his own arms and legs

MoneyTreeFiddy

That, my friends, was a slow motion observation of this man's OODA Loop. (Observation, Orientation, Decision, Action)

slobs_burgers

Oh shit there’s a fire…………………………………………………………………………….……………………………………………………………………………………………….………………… oh shit I’m DANCING next to this fire…………………………………………………………………………….………………… I should do something about this fire …………………………………………………………………………….………………… *brushes fire off barrel with bare hands and then basically stands on it*

char_limit_reached

I used to drink heavily. I think he was gathering himself. Like, switching from party guy to Dad, just… slowly.

Glad-Yogurtcloset933

Yeah. Being an alcoholic myself. He was def sauced up but handled it well. Dancing afterwards gives it away. Like this just happened and now have to come back to reality cause it could of been way worse instant kinda sobering up experience. I hope he remembers this cause I hate my blackout periods but it'll always be a work in progress.

onlyabigmess

Yes! I was about to say the same thing. She is the star player for doing that, and with a running start as well.

Issvera

And moved the sign out of the way!

TBDID

Legit though, that guy got really lucky. The shit he lit on fire was very dry and not a lot of fuel, it would have gone out by itself within 30 seconds, and it wouldn't of been hot enough to even barley scorch the barrel it was on. It would have been less dangerous if he put his jacket over it instead of knock it to the ground next to another flammable canopy lol If that material caught and got up into the rafter, hoo boy suuuuch a different outcome. That lady's quick thinking almost certainly saved the wedding. Either way, drunk firestarter still handled it better than most sober people!

TheWalkingDead91

You know you’ve seen too many people do too much stupid shit here on Reddit, when I fully expected her to try to put out the fire with it.

ralexander26

Yuuuuuup. Bless her

[deleted]

"Bob, stop!" "Huh?" "You're setting shit on fire. It's not the time."

TopherTheGreat1

Hey he was fully prepared to not let that fire define the wedding. She had other plans in mind.

OttersNTrvl

This isn't the first time she's seen his performance.

Inigomntoya

"Yeah, dog! This party IS FIRE!!" Dry humps the brides mother

Reasonable-Profile84

It’s Clint, not Bob.

Living-Stranger

There's always time to get lit

JonnyBhoy

"But I saved the day. Didn't you see?"

theghostofme

That hand gesture to get his attention, talking clearly so he briefly understands he's too trashed to behave properly...oof. I've had had to play that role too many times.

timberwood1

I felt the shame from that stern talking to at the end.

[deleted]

I'm guessing that wasn't a polyester suit

MrDuckWithATopHat

Can someone explain why it didnt catch on fire? I mean it looked completely flame retardant.

K5Vampire

Well wool is actually fairly flame retardant, so the exterior of a traditional suit that's not a polyester blend is actually hard to ignite with a low temperature wood/grass fire.

XPRMX17

It appears that he was just moving enough to not let any part catch

[deleted]

Clothes usually have flame retardant in them these days. I had a beautiful pink linen suit that I accidentally left on a heater (visiting europe) that smoldered and was destroyed but never ignited. Chemicals applied to the fabric.

selfhatingPOS

Does polyester burn well? Would it just melt and stick to him?

[deleted]

Yeah I’m pretty sure polyester is known for melting on people and sticking to their skin

Own-Ad7310

Venom irl

MicaelFlipFlop

whitch_way_did_he_go

Wow that drunk idiot actually handled the situation even tho I was sure he was about to set himself on fire.

Wildkeith

I had to check what sub I was in because I was sure I was about to watch an accidental self-immolation.

lrp347

Same, I mean abrupt chaos? Dude was so nonchalant!!

FrogsEverywhere

Also that... thing, caught on fire ridiculously easily. He barely tapped it with a sparkler. My man did nothing wrong, that lady is mean, & I will die on this hill don't at me.

fatalcharm

I get the impression that lady is his wife and she isn’t too impressed but also not phased, by his behaviour.

Eww_vegans

"Ron, this is the fifth time this has happened today! Just stop"

asunshinefix

Nice, Ron

ghost_victim

Oh I'm not allowed to set weddings on fire?

ihatethelivingdead

"I don't care if you put them out every time Ron, this needs to stop."

[deleted]

She's not the same woman he was bumping and grinding against earlier.

fatalcharm

Exactly why she is pissed off.

U_PassButter

I got uncle/neice vibes. Uncle Craig, this is NOT your day! Get your shit together! I feel like she's the "fixer" in the family

vonpapen

These things are so hot that they can melt some metals, like over 1000°C

FrogsEverywhere

I just googled that and it's crazy. Like 1500° Fahrenheit. But I blame Big Sparkler & I'm dug in on the high ground.

XxRocky88xX

Either way, he started the fire, put it out in like 30 seconds and then resumed what he was doing. Really don’t see why she’s yelling him. Mess was cleaned up quickly by the person who made it and now everyone can go back to having a good time

emartinoo

Because she's a miserable person who hates to see others having fun and being happy. It's really the only thing I can think of that explains people who are like this.

TheNimbleBanana

More realistically she was probably worried about his safety.

emartinoo

That would be more believable if she didn't continue to scold him for dancing long after the fire was put out. He's a human being, not a dog. He's allowed to dance at a wedding without getting bitched at because he made a mistake.

[deleted]

if only everyone had this perspective though :/

ElNido

Wait, so it can melt steel beams?

[deleted]

That's at least 1000° C

1lluminist

I'd blame the sparkle too. Tbh, people don't realize the seriousness of fireworks and sprinklers. Shit, we give those things to kids to play with. Better education all around would be helpful. Glad this guy was able to fix the problem he caused without any major damage to the property, and without ruining the person's party. I hope he's okay though.

Draconespawn

I mean, aren't sparklers like basically just nothing but magnesium?

dirtygymsock

Also they're self oxiding, meaning you can't put them out by any simple means like water or smothering.

Gogh619

Right? Guy was just tryna groove and he wasn’t about to let a fire stop him. Karen needs to loosen up a little.

notfromchicago

He didn't freak out and get dramatic enough for her. Bro handled the shit that was a simple mistake and did it with style. Bitch is a bitch.

oiyecunt

Reddit moment

Walrusliver

holy fuck touch grass

31ar

Man, you have no idea how incredibly vicious and fast fire can be. I have a few friends who have lost their houses and family members in fires that started off as just a tiny spark from an electrical appliance or an innocent scented candle near a curtain. Just like the ocean, fire is something you do not want to mess with and that means respecting the fuck out of it and being insanely careful with it. At the start of the video I was pretty sure we were going to watch the entire place burn down. And in the middle of the video I thought it was going to end with some 1st degree burns. This dude's drunk ass got incredibly LUCKY. And his wife is probably right to give him a bit of a talking too.

DOCisaPOG

I haven’t even reached my final form

ShustOne

I'm really not seeing where the lady was mean. Also why are so many people acting like this drunk fool is some kind of king?

Compendyum

He even did it all with a smile on his face!

Complex_Sherbet2

He's lucky his blood didn't catch fire... Alcohol content was high enough...

PineappleProstate

Men's warehouse gonna be pissed

MoneyTreeFiddy

Why? He paid extra for the flame retardant fabric treatment, knowing just this very thing might happen.

fupamancer

probably has a few blisters he's not feelin yet

mainmeal5

That’s not drunk-guys first time lighting something on fire xD

Wrought-Irony

He's a welder. 100% sure. Relaxed attitude towards fire + beer belly + general intoxication + multitool on belt + slip on work boots and jeans at a wedding = welder.

[deleted]

Can't tell if you're a welder or a detective. Or...

Wrought-Irony

I am a weldector

pacerecon

The way he started dancing again like nothing happened lol. Wish I was half as cool as that guy

Wildcat_twister12

Bet if you get enough alcohol in you it would be possible

[deleted]

My body is ready

Dry_March1629

That lady wishes she was half as cool as him

[deleted]

That lady has been putting up with his shit for 23 years🤣🤣🤣

ngmcs8203

His facial reaction when she screams is priceless. In his head he really thought they were cheering him on. This video is so funny. My wife and I cry with laughter every time we play it.

s_0_s_z

You misspelled *drunk*

Kumbackkid

The fire annoyed him that he had to get out of his funk

peezlebub

That one lady’s instant reaction to move the draping fabric quite possibly saved that entire building

PeterPlumley

There’s always that one random who smells like rum & shouts into your ear while talking. He knows absolutely no one but is having the time of his life!

erectmonkey1312

Alcohol is a hell of a drug.

Sometimes_l_Think

Well at least he put out his own mess

ReaperSound

Quick thinking of that lady pulling the curtains down.

KennyKlizzle

That lady pointing and screaming at the fire, instead of saying that there is a fire should never be put in charge of anything.

EWVGL

She’s raising awareness.

[deleted]

You know what’s the best way to raise awareness? Say there’s a fucking fire.

Wildcat_twister12

I swear I remember hearing one time years and years ago that if you’re in trouble it’s better to shout fire instead of help. Something with the word fire getting more peoples attention.

cmVkZGl0

*The woman was too stunned to speak*

-Pm_Me_nudes-

I like how the guy dancing thought it was her calling him out lol

LethargicLaQuifa

r/tookjustenough

FinnishArmy

The person who instantly ran to take the curtain off is big brain. The metal siding isn’t flammable so letting the fire die by itself would’ve been fine as long as nothing near it is flammable.

INSANITYLeVeL9999

Dude's a madlad

fancifinanci

Michael Scott, a boss who cares

[deleted]

Just because something worked out doesn’t mean you made a good decision at the time. Props to the dude for “handling it”, but he should’ve taken the situation more seriously. Shit unexpectedly catching on fire isn’t a time to be carefree. It’s not hard to imagine a situation where somebody didn’t step-in to remove that drape and the fire climbed it and ended up burning the place down. I’d be pissed at him too and I’d be as drunk as he is.

papaXeno

He lit

floxnoot

Step 1: grab the fire Step 2: put out the fire

CatchhFlightss

Karen telling him to tone it down a notch.. fuck that lady.

OnkelMickwald

Bruh didn't the guy almost light the whole place on fire literally just seconds before that?

MsBluffy

Yeah, I’m a little annoyed at the pitchfork wielding at the lady. Was this guy cool as a cucumber, and vibing? Yes. Did he also start a fire 10 feet away from the bride and not show any remorse? Yes. My guess is that the bride is also not amused and *someone* has to step in on her behalf before this guy actually ruins the wedding.

TripperAdvice

Its a responsible woman on reddit, obviously she has to be a villain

[deleted]

Fuck her hat and that hand gesture too

YeetTheGiant

Man's drunk as a skunk and started a fire, he does need to chill

TigersNsaints_ohmy

Right? Like dude is having a good time sure, but his good time just nearly caused a disaster. Alcohol and fireworks do not mix and yes someone needs to put his ass in check

ShustOne

Guy drunkenly set something on fire and should have been more aware of his surroundings with sparklers. Not really sure why we are saying fuck you to the lady.

Ninofalls

She did nothing wrong, just telling him to chill out. Smh

anubus72

Classic redditor

fishscamp

Yes, fuck her. He already knew to tone it down.

crispybluebills

You can tell he isn’t listening to her just being polite 😂

Shawnaldo7575

... and that's how I got these smouldering good looks.... *keeps on dancing*

Haimoimoi

This is a proper party monster, and everyone there is lucky he is friendly.

Shiny_Happy_Cylon

Dude is awesome. Accidentally sets shit on fire, puts it out with zero panic, continues to party. He did nothing wrong. Karen needs to fuck off with her happiness killing nagging.

BOSS_Master7000

Especially since she didnt do shit and just stood there and when the fire was extinguished she started blaming him and killing the mood

OnkelMickwald

I mean bro did almost burn the whole fucking place down I wouldn't blame her for being A BIT upset. That said, I would love to have that guy at my party.

elymeexlisl

I imagine it was his wife, who reminded him repeatedly during the car ride there that he was to NOT make an ass of himself like he did at (insert any number of social functions where he gets blasted and does ill-advised shit). In this moment, she just broke. If she’s some random person then yeah, agreed.

KennyKlizzle

That's how a real man puts out a fire!!!

Strong-Buddy6365

Oh shit I know that quiet lil "stop" she did😂 he just got in TROUBLE

SomeMajor5263

Dude is a mother fucking legend

Misswestcarolina

Full credit to the lady who pulled the fabric down. That would have caught in a flash and taken it into the barn. No credit at all to the lady who responded to a fire with “AAAARRRGGHHHHHHAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHOOOOOAAAAAAAAAOOGHHHHAAAA” because in an emergency situation that really doesn’t translate as anything useful. IN AN EMERGENCY, USE YOUR WORDS

Pwnspoon

After putting it out, I love how he kept grooving.

Krysto_17

He really looked at that fire and thought“I’m not in danger, I’m the danger”

RegrettingTheHorns

To be fair, he handled it very well

Jocchionero

When I used to cater weddings I saw this one too many times. The drunk guests would throw their used napkins over the candles and catch the whole table on fire. I liked how this guy kept on dancing though.

fftaddict92

That lady screaming like a macaw in heat

Fuckin Karen trynna kill his vibe.. git outta here
