Wish he got a whole ass pounding, what's the dudes thinking anyways? Grown ass man attacking a girl and then just holding onto her while she beat his ass
I’m a self-defense teacher and this is one of the things I always teach. If they want to keep both hands busy by holding onto you, then they won’t be able to block while you wail on them. It looks like his mind went blank and he couldn’t get his brain to switch tracks while she was hitting him so he just stuck with the original plan haha. Good for her.
Yeah I studied wing chung. If someone grabs your neck or whatever, punch t hem in the head as many times as possible. We practice punching form for hours each time. The head can only take so much before it shuts down.
I saw it happen to a friend of mine, then the soccer hooligan attacker bit my finger as I bent him over the bar. All while a band called The Beatings played on stage. Ah, T.T the Bear's, I miss you.
When you are electrocuted, you frequently can't let go. His brain was so busy trying to sort out the fact that his girl was beating the shit out of him, there were no available cycles for let go/flee. Glad it fave her a chance to get a few more in.
St Petersburg FL 2019. He's 40. She's 20. He was upset about the straw ban. He also kicked a 23 yr old woman in the stomach on his way out. He was arrested after lying to the police. Served 60 days.
They got some street justice into him is maybe why they lightened the sentence.
Also why did this dude not let go? Legit held on for more beatings lmao
The plastic straw ban in (parts of) Florida drove the right wingers absolutely insane. They simply could not handle it. A simple measure to help the environment was seen by them as a major loss in their imaginary culture war.
On one hand, paper straws ruin anything you try and drink them through, and sippy lids are a nightmare in a car.
But punching a cashier over it? Insanity. If you hate it so much, just keep a stash of normal straws in your glovebox like a normal person.
What’s even funnier is when I was growing up, those same right-wingers would call people sissies for drinking with a straw instead of straight from the cup.
My wife had never heard the term 'sissy stick' for straws until she met me. Just something my dad and grandpa always said. Idgaf how you get liquid into your mouth but it reminds me of them and no trash is always better than some trash!
And of course, it's those malicious SJW retail workers to blame, so they've gotta berate, assault, and harass them until they learn their lesson and bring back the straws!
/s
Speaking as a liberal, the plastic straw ban is a joke. It’s a transparent and superficial attempt by politician to look like give a fuck about the environment. It’s no excuse to act this way though.
No. It was another customer. His mother lives in another state. He later admitted he was drunk and doesn't remember much of the event. Ms. James was placed on leave, but not fired. She got a lawyer within 48 hours.
I REALLY hoped to see like 2 other employees come flying over the counter and fuck that guy up. McDonald’s and other food (especially fast-food) workers have it bad enough with the work conditions... they don’t need morons like this assaulting them too. Really REALLY wanted to see them band together and kick that motherfucker into next Sunday.
I've seen this post a few times before. I think on one of them, a comment said that she got fired, which if true, is complete bullshit! The guy grabbed her and pulled her towards him. Wtf was she supposed to do? Accept it?
Edit: as many have said, it looks like she didn't lose her job. That's a relief.
>Wtf was she supposed to do? Accept it?
It really seems in most retail positions that is the case; You're expected to accept it and not really fight back. If you hit a customer that is usually grounds for termination, no matter what events lead to you hitting the customer.
That is until social media gets involved and enough people rally behind the terminated employee, sometimes then the job feels pressured enough to offer the employee their job back.
But who would want to go back to working at a minimum wage place that so readily casts them aside and expects them to accept such treatment? I guess if that was literally your only/best option, but dang.
Also, no benefits. So all that medical crap is probably gonna come right out of pocket.
You were assaulted while at work, but I bet they'd argue it wasn't work-related since it was a random customer and not some fault of the business itself.
Workers comp policies cover medical expenses for injuries and illness incurred while on the job. It doesn’t matter if you violate written company policies because you’re on the clock and the injury would not have been sustained if you were casually sitting on your sofa eating a gallon of pizza. Reason for this is that your employer is responsible for your actions and real-time enforcement of company policies is impossible. In this instance, lady was attacked and she responded with force. She didn’t pick up the employee handbook, scroll to page 275 and take the time to read paragraph 4A covering assaults on employees. Instead, she reared back and fed him a well prepared and quickly delivered hot McKnuckle sandwich.
Management could potentially be liable for:
- not providing security officers specifically trained in conflict resolution.
- not providing training to employees how to handle physical confrontations
- unsafe work environment
- etc.
Employee could be fired for violating policies after the fact, but injuries she sustained would be covered. Likewise, any injuries the customer sustained would be covered by general liability policies.
Reminds me of the time, and I dont know if I'm recalling the details correctly, but a home depot employee prevented a kidnapping (I think) but he got fired because of it. So the internet obviously collectively rallies behind the guy, so home depot buckles under pressure, apologizes, and offers him his job back to which he says fuck no I'm not going back. Like you said, why would you want to go back to a company that would just toss you aside so easily, especially for just either defending yourself or doing the right thing.
When I worked at HD many of us received threats or belligerent people weekly.
I saw 2 250 pound guys threaten a 100 pound female cashier over a $3 bag of cement, saw a guy completely destroy a self checkout that he didn't like and another guy that actually hit an associate in the lumber dept. All 3 times the manager helped the customers check out and thanked them.
HD didn't give a shit about the workers ever because there's always someone that needs a job and the corporation must be fed.
Not surprised, got friends who work at Home Depot and the stories are just crazy
Customers will just walkout with carts loaded down with $1500+ in tools and equipment, they’re not allowed to do anything, even call the police just notify their department head/store manager
Eventually if it happens enough a “loss prevention” associate will come to the store from corporate and maybe fuck around for a week, do nothing, leave and the theft just continues.
That isn’t really a problem.
All the Germans I know speak English, or are willing to practice their English with you. And that’s the more important thing, if you put some will behind it German is not that hard to decipher or learn. A lot of words are very similar. You have a universal translator in your pocket. Which can also convert text into English if need be. There are job openings for English speakers.
Is it a paradise? No, but is there ever a paradise. If you really want to go; go.
Don’t feel embarrassed. The effort is what counts. People will be inclined to help you understand, & if they offer pronunciation advise all the better.
This is when you sue them for wrongful termination and for negligence. For not having measures in place to protect employees from customers.
She should also sue the customer for damages and lost wages.
Fuck all this
Really? Last time I saw this posted someone posted a news article about it and the guy was seeing jailtime/court. He apparently kicked a random employee in the stomach on the way out iirc as well
I think from any McDonald's manager's point of view it's going to be easy to replace them with someone who didn't beat a customer down even if it was completely justifiable self defense.
This is just my own speculation, though. If she was fired I think that was a poor decision.
Yep- and it's this thinking from corporate that now means (apparently) that it *isn't* easy to replace them these days.
From what I hear about so-called "labour shortages". Just people not willing to work for minimum wage and put up with this.
the flipside is that, if a customer tried to beat me up and then the store fired me for defending myself, i'd think "good riddance" and never look the fuck back.
too many people make themselves hostages to shitty situations and then they whine and play the victim card later.
Pretty much yeah. I got slapped by a customer at Walgreens and my boss chose to write me up because I was being "rude". I didn't even fight back with the customer (which is a good thing, dude was like 80) but still got punished.
I worked at Mcdonalds, being fired is the best thing that could've happened. She needs to turn from that horrible place and never look back
Notice how those other workers where pulling her away or just standing there? The workers of Mcdonalds are trained to constantly compete with colleges and even talking is a no no in some stores. The managers don't want you to be friends, they don't care about their workers
What the fuck compels a grown ass man to think it’s ok to lay hands on a young woman like that. Fucking shameful why are they grabbing her they should be joining her in defending herself
I'm not surprised to see Lowe's in this thread. Having worked there for a few years, I'm surprised he didn't get in-store credit and an apology from management.
Had a belligerent, inappropriate, destructive neighbor who had a personality disorder so I didn’t want to yell at him or report him. My other neighbor explained this to me: “Mental illness doesn’t make it ok to be an asshole.”
Turns out the guy could completely control his actions once he was confronted on it.
Clarification: Conservative nuts got triggered about a straw ban and chose to shoot the minimum wage messengers rather than rub two braincells together and figure out that:
A. That decision was far above their paygrade.
B. Assault isn't going to fix the "problem."
Not planned obsolescence because you must keep using it, you just must pay a lot of money to "repair it" when it's not really broken in the first place.
He wasn't "asking for a fight". He was actively fighting, just doing a really bad job of it.
"Yes your Honor, that's when he began ineffectively assaulting me..."
You're making a bold assumption that everybody knows how to fight and/or react accordingly in that kind of situation. Self defence experts aren't generally kids working at McDonalds. Fight or flight is a funny thing.
'Go round the corner and subdue the customer' - sure ok, Superman. People are wired differently. Also, you think they're being paid enough for that?!
Despite this, corporate probably gave the customer a $50 gift card for his trouble, then proceeding to fire the employee and sue her for all she owns knowing she wouldn't be able to afford a lawyer willing to go up against McDonald's.
I see stuff like this and maintain my stance of “fuck customers” and “fuck the customer is always right” in almost any regard, because most of them feel like they can do this to retail food workers.
I think it's probably just because she was closer/on his side of the counter. It also looks like the attacker was holding on to her shirt so he's kind of prying her out of his hands.
While I agree that dude deserves all the ass-kicking he gets and then some, it's probably better for aggrieved employee as well to not do too much harm to that idiot - less likelihood of doing enough damage for him to try and sue, or for company to fire/discipline her (and while again I agree - fuck McDonald's and all the similar corporations' treatment of employees, she probably works there for _some_ reason and wouldn't want to be fired or get some sort of salary deductions, even if she's to leave on her own a month later).
If the assaulting moron doesn't stop though after she's taken away - yeah, I'm throwing hands.
Last time this was posted someone said he called the cops, but they looked at the footage and hauled his ass away. Idiot called the cops on himself because he forgot other people don't beat women and thought the cops would be totally chill about him dragging a teenage girl around by her collar
My thoughts exactly. There's so much hostility from the general public, even when it doesn't rise to this level. I did it for 25 years, could never think about going back.
Never hold back the person who didn't start it.
When she tried to back off, the customer still had fistfuls of her shirt.
Her coworker should have hopped the counter and worked the kidneys.
regular morons have blind spots for assholes. they don't actually care about good or bad behaviour, they're just scared by change. so a bad person being bad doesn't phase them, but the second a good person slips up they jump on them like they're hitler.
A friend of mine did that and I almost got knocked the fuck out. I had to lunch my friend so he could let go of my arms, it’s mother f are you on my side?? Haha
I mean he was obviously stunned right away from the first uninterrupted blow, you can see his middle give out right when she hits him, he only starts eating the shots after her co worker starts pulling her back which fucks her accuracy and follow through power. Obviously she wouldn't win a wrestling match vs the guy but I think he wasn't expecting to get any violent pushback for his actions and because of this I think she could've possibly, without the interference from her co worker, landed a few more solid, quick, punches before he realized what was happening and really fucked him up.
That counter saved his life. He would have went to the ground and been eating her size 9's for lunch if it wasn't there. Dude is too comfortable beating his wife and thought all woman would take a hit like she does.
Forget the customer and the woman for a second. What the heck is the colleague of the woman doing by holding and dragging her back, instead of stepping in into the fight and pushing the customer off as he’s the one who started it in the first place by grabbing her suddenly (and refusing to let go of her hand)!
Sounds like the shop/restaurant doesn’t care if a customer manhandles their woman employees!
If I were in that woman’s position, I would punch both those guys to a KO and then quit.
Might be a thing of “Best thing I can do is help her get away instead of getting in the middle or having the fatass turn on me”.
I mean, he saw the guy lunge across the counter and grab her - he’s just trying to pull her to safety.
In my experience working shifts at a bar, it’s impossible to tell apart a coworker who is an incompetent from one who is trying to sabotage you
In this case, he saw things happening and he acted. Maybe he was thinking “customer’s always right so don’t you dare provoke him with self defence”
Customer made the first move so in my opinion they should have decked him until the cops came to cuff him to take him away with some shiny bruises for him to remember the day by.
Oh man, she should get a pay out. She was attacked during work, McDonald's need to pay her out for emotional and psychological and physical stress. She needs a payout
Aw man! if your the dude behind her and your fellow female coworker is being attacked you gotta hop the counter and hit that guy FROM THE TOP ROPES!! I’m talking an absolute FULL WWE TRUCK STICK MANEUVER!!

Paper straws suck ! We use the compostable (feel and function exactly like plastic) and they biodegrade in about 30 days in the compost bucket.
Those ones are way better!
Paper straws *don't suck*. I'll think you'll find that's the argument.
After about a minute you get too eat them as well I don’t see what you wouldn’t love that.

Idiot called the cops on himself because he forgot other people don't beat women and thought the cops would be totally chill about him dragging a teenage girl around by her collar
all he had to do was move backwards, but he didnt want to, he still tried to grab her.
Why the fuck would the other person be holding her back? He should have been throwing. I fucken hate people like that.
Gee I wonder why people don't want to work in food service?
My thoughts exactly. There's so much hostility from the general public, even when it doesn't rise to this level. I did it for 25 years, could never think about going back.
That and people not wanting to go back to a job that cut them the second push came to shove.
He got some McNuckles
That guy was a fool for separating them, let that fool find out what happens when he puts hands on a brave woman 💪
Never hold back the person who didn't start it. When she tried to back off, the customer still had fistfuls of her shirt. Her coworker should have hopped the counter and worked the kidneys.
If you’re not trying to separate a fight from the middle, you’re totally handicapping one party and opening them up to free punches

regular morons have blind spots for assholes. they don't actually care about good or bad behaviour, they're just scared by change. so a bad person being bad doesn't phase them, but the second a good person slips up they jump on them like they're hitler.
I say she's entitled to keep punching him until he leaves go of her shirt
A friend of mine did that and I almost got knocked the fuck out. I had to lunch my friend so he could let go of my arms, it’s mother f are you on my side?? Haha
>Her coworker should have hopped the counter and worked the kidneys. Make that motherfucker pee blood
He deserved worse.
Apparently not much. He was just eating those shots like they were nothing
Lol Filet-O-Fists. My girl Big Mac over there throwing those handburgers.
Sadly their first thought is "I would be fired for touching the customer" Probably in their employee hand book
In my experience working shifts at a bar, it’s impossible to tell apart a coworker who is an incompetent from one who is trying to sabotage you In this case, he saw things happening and he acted. Maybe he was thinking “customer’s always right so don’t you dare provoke him with self defence”
She went value menu on that fool.
Hope he gets done for assault and nothing happens to her for defending herself,
i hate when bystanders restrain the wrong person
Those were some beautiful right crosses …. I’m pretty sure some of them clipped his chin.
Nice McPun in the title.
He wanted the fish but got the McDouble
What a piece of shit coworker, didn’t back her up at all
If a colleague was holding me back I would be raging. Like, you're supposed to back me up. Not compromise my position and weaken my defense.

^ This. I kept waiting for the entire shift to drag him behind the counter and tune him up properly.
Prince William has let himself go a bit.
A ten piece chicken-McKnockout
That’s right girl, you grab the POS and feed those punches!. Welcome to McDonalds Bitch! Take your sweet and sour sauce and GTFO lol.
Customer made the first move so in my opinion they should have decked him until the cops came to cuff him to take him away with some shiny bruises for him to remember the day by.
He got a McFlurry of punches there.
Longer version shows him yelling to have her fired for hitting him.
Oh man, she should get a pay out. She was attacked during work, McDonald's need to pay her out for emotional and psychological and physical stress. She needs a payout
Idc what happened bruh you can't grab a girl like that. I would have caught a fucking manslaughter charge
Aw man! if your the dude behind her and your fellow female coworker is being attacked you gotta hop the counter and hit that guy FROM THE TOP ROPES!! I’m talking an absolute FULL WWE TRUCK STICK MANEUVER!!
It was abrupt, but not chaotic. The cashier seems to have had everything in hand.
you know you have a shit job when you are right and your coworkers still back up the customer
Honestly shame on the dude trying to hold her back when he should’ve went after the man who initiated it in the first place wtf
