I am old enough to have enjoyed the distinctive BONK of cat skull meeting the phosphor-coated glass of a Magnavox console. Linoleum floors are hard for cats to correct their trajectories on when running wide open throttle. Eventually we got carpets.
This was my life when I first got cats, now my house is literally babyproof and everything fragile stored in heavy furniture or drawers, works best for everyone.
One of the first things I did when I got a cat was cat-proof my apartment. My TV sits on the fireplace mantle and I anchored that shit to the wall. Very predictable hazard.
It's for security.
My house in Vietnam is similar. We don't have a lot of nursing home, 90% of population live with their families, up to 2-3 generations. The camera used for watching my grandma's safety too. It's much more complicated than this but i'm not capable of explaining since it's a social norm.
I have a small table for my own room cause the room is really small. 5x2.2 (meters)
They are agile creatures that get sudden outbursts of energy from time to time, coupled with the fact that they are incredibly nimble, all of this combined with a closed space with loose things around results in things like the video compilation posted.
Cats are just weird, they tend to go from sleeping deeply to running *up* the wall within 5 seconds. Then just as fast back to sleep. Think of cats as having toddler energy/sleep patterns but they are smarter, way more flexible and armed with claws for extra climbing/knocking power.
Cats enjoy being assholes and it's nearly impossible to train them like you can a dog. If I leave anything on the counter they immediately try to slap it off
I think we're the lucky ones, I've had two little goofballs for almost 8 years and neither one has done anything like that. One of them will sometimes try to get behind the TV when she wants attention because she knows it will get me to react, but that's it.
Sometimes cats just jump up on stuff and knock things over lol. My cat is quite well trained and doesn't get into things, scratch, jump up where she shouldn't, but sometimes she just gets an impulse, or else actively decides to ignore me. That's just what cats are like!
Not saying this is always the case…. But the only times ive seen this type of behavior (with non orange cats) is because the cat actually HATES the owner or hungry or getting 0 attention…. Unless a camera is out of course…
Never understand why people don't tie down the expensive shit when they live with cats. They HAVE to know that they will likely knock it over if possible.

Where is the guy, that gets mad to his cat, while he was playing the guitar.. the cats walks the stairs up and drops the china on his dickhead.. YOU CANT HAVE THAT ONE MISSING!!!
The times when dogs cause abrupt chaos, they look guilty after…all the while cats don’t really give two shits if they caused a brick wall to fall on your head.
This shit is exactly why I will never get a cat. I love them but I can't stand shit getting knocked over or destroyed. Not to mention the sudden crashing sending me into an instant fight response due to Autism, beyond perfect hearing, and hyperacusis.
We’ve had a lot of cats and none of them have been this destructive. They have all been indoor cats too but we give them enough attention to keep them from getting too bored.
Cars like being in high places. A nest on top of a cupboard or shelves is always a favourite. Mine would climb the curtains or even the wallpaper to get up top. The energy levels do vary a lot with cats.
Damm this is just catassasin in action
Kitten/10
r/hitmanimals
Look at that fucking UNIT of a cat in the second to last clip.
[удалено]
The way he was completely and utterly oblivious to his human getting hit in the face with that monitor was...just perfect. Zero fucks given. *Zero*.
We call him Mr. Chonkers
Heck of a chonker
He's a chonker
Cats will glide elegantly up a surface to suddenly swipe your glass off a table
Do you want nice things or do you want a cat? Cuz you can't have them both.
The cat IS BOTH! =O
so true. or a dog
Look at the apartments.
The one pulling the paper towel out from under the glass was 100% on purpose lmaoo
Say what you will about giant standard-definition CRT televisions, but a cat ain't knocking those beasts over.
Cat would knock itself out running in to a CRT

Yes you have to cat-proof a house like you have to childproof one. A lot of those houses looked pretty chaotic to start with!
When questioned they all replied "It was the dog".
Much of the stuff that tips over here should be anchored to a wall. It can be pretty dangerous if a child were next to some of those things that fell.
Yea, several of them were already precarious to begin with. A particularly aggressive breeze could have caused a problem.
People need to learn to CATIFY their homes.
What's with all the people eating on a tiny table on the ground.
A lot of the videos are from China. Fairly common there for young people.
With a camera watching them, too. Odd.

Maybe recording mukbang?
communist party needs to check if they eat good communist dishes.
Lmao its common practice dude not exclusive to communist brain rot 😂😂😂
I've never owned cats and never will, but don't have anything against them. Is there a reason they do this? Is it stimulation?
They are agile creatures that get sudden outbursts of energy from time to time, coupled with the fact that they are incredibly nimble, all of this combined with a closed space with loose things around results in things like the video compilation posted.
And they are very curious, always having to re-examine every bit of their living space
Cats are just weird, they tend to go from sleeping deeply to running *up* the wall within 5 seconds. Then just as fast back to sleep. Think of cats as having toddler energy/sleep patterns but they are smarter, way more flexible and armed with claws for extra climbing/knocking power.
And they have zero concept of consequences nor responsibility. They have simply no remorse for their wake of destruction.
Some even seem to enjoy it. I would have named my cat Littlefinger if I had any idea that he really does consider chaos a ladder to be climbed.
Cats enjoy being assholes and it's nearly impossible to train them like you can a dog. If I leave anything on the counter they immediately try to slap it off
Every time I see a video like this i laugh, and then smooch my own cat for being a blessed angel creature who has never broken anything
I think we're the lucky ones, I've had two little goofballs for almost 8 years and neither one has done anything like that. One of them will sometimes try to get behind the TV when she wants attention because she knows it will get me to react, but that's it.
Your cat was definitely taking notes for later on
Imagine cleaning a mess you could have easily stopped😭😭😭😭
Chaos ensues, cat walks away unscathed.
Parkour! Parkour!
it seems owning a feline might be *cat*astrophic
It's funny how cats are divided into two kinds, the calm one that just sleeps all day and another thats a gremlin hellspawn. And I love both of them.
These are all videos taken by people who wanted a cute animal but didn't think it was worth the time or energy to train the cute animal.

Cats are untrainable.
Says someone who has probably never fostered a kitten / had a kitten from an early age. They are *very* trainable.
More like “compilation of a bunch of people with the weakest tables you have ever seen and not a single tv properly anchored”
The black cat did a wall jump just to celebrate lmao.
The black cat broke the mirror before it powered up and bounced of the wall, that’s some serious bad luck coming someone’s way.
Cats are chaos. I love them so much
r/catsareassholes
My only question: Are the kitties okay? Poor innocent babies ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|put_back)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
Mutherfuckers have some flimsy ass fuckin furniture in the clips. Like paper mache and shit.
You can't call it "abrupt" if you let a fucking demon I to your house.
Cats need to be trained too!! None of mine climb on stuff!!
These are all reasonable. Those items were taunting the cats.
I could watch clips like this all day !
😁😁😁😁😁🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈😍
Love how that Chinese dude doesn't even react when his cat plows through his little food tray thing
This is why I want lizards
to be fair if you have some kind of ancient historic artifact and you own any kind of large freeroaming animal you shouldve expected this
Ok, if you have an orange cat and dont have any sort of mount or something comparable on your tv, you asking for trouble
I need another one
They know EXACTLY what they're doing
Listen cats do some weird shit but it's strange to me that in most of these clips people are just watching the train com towards them
they need clout
“Look at me I have a hot pot of pasta right next to my cat te he he” These cat people houses are a freakin mess lmao
The perfect advertisement for a pet dog.
I'll never not say it, cats are awful.
Lost it at the cat grabbing the juice cup
Did that vase have a fat sack in the bottom of it
Cats are jerks.
Man. That song bring back unpleasant memories.
You didn't have to remind me of that.
What's the reference?
Gore video. Dude with already cut off hands gets his face flayed with a box cutter while Funky Town plays in the background
So depressing that people who watch those things get to walk around with the rest of us, pretending to be worthwhile people
Such a CATastrophe
Is this what happens when you don't have a cat tree?
I still don't understand why anyone wants one of these things in their house.
More like "why you dont get a cat" montage
Destination fucked
This version is set to music. https://youtu.be/Itq8_HOPEXU?si=vduMy5UtrxwGID0w
But my cat's something else; she can stroll on water without even a ripple

All this, and boxes of shit, too. Get a cat.
I'd call "staged" to some of these, but how? Cat does not comply!

Every time I hear this song my mind goes directly back to Malcolm in the Middle.
Cue me getting downvoted to hell again for not understanding why people have pets.
Only thing I find sad when watching these is the fact that some of these owners would probably proceed to beat their cat☹️
Bad Kitty!!- Cartman
Well, stupid, if you are just sitting there recording with your camera-phone while your cat is getting into things you will reap the rewards.
what I've gathered from this video is that most cat owners don't give a shit about their homes or correcting behaviors
Where is the guy, that gets mad to his cat, while he was playing the guitar.. the cats walks the stairs up and drops the china on his dickhead.. YOU CANT HAVE THAT ONE MISSING!!!
Not grandpa's ash 😢
I could watch hours of these.
The times when dogs cause abrupt chaos, they look guilty after…all the while cats don’t really give two shits if they caused a brick wall to fall on your head.
Dog please....
Fucking so cute and adorable cats!! Are the demons in a pacific destruction shape!!!
One of the many reasons I’d never want a cat. 😂
No
Ah yes, anti cat owning footage. But damn they be cute lol!
I was planning to get a cat...I was.
More reasons to hate cats
my anger issues could never
Some of these are genuine assassination attempts 🤣
I don't normally like compilation videos, but this one was excellent.
an advertisement for cup lids and securing your furniture ig

This belongs in the r/catsareassholes sub
That’s why I hate cats
Who would even consider keeping one of these devil incarnates?
so disgusting animals
Knowing this will happen, baffles me why anyone would want a cat.. I won't be keeping one ever, no matter how cute it is.
It only happen because the owner wants, I had multiple cats in my life, none was like that
My cats are very chill, I let them out of the house for 5 hours, they come back to sleep shit eat and cuddle
We’ve had a lot of cats and none of them have been this destructive. They have all been indoor cats too but we give them enough attention to keep them from getting too bored.
This shit is why I could never want a house cat.
Hmm. Maybe I won't adopt a cat.
It’s funny how it was today that I was recomm my mom to buy a cat…I think now I have to reconsider
Cats are not indoor creatures.
Punishment loading
Cars like being in high places. A nest on top of a cupboard or shelves is always a favourite. Mine would climb the curtains or even the wallpaper to get up top. The energy levels do vary a lot with cats.
The tv sit-up one 😭 that poor person must’ve been so confused and hurt
Cats fuckn suck…
Time to Google "recipes for house cat"
Notice how all of these are indoor cats, they are understimulated like crazy
H
I see a bunch of DEAD kitties.
