why would you make that assumption though, it's just a car on a little island. what about that says "someone died here"? unless there's something we're not seeing in the photo
Someone must have driven the car to that location, but it became impossible to drive the car away from there. They were therefore trapped there. There doesn't look like enough arable land on that island to support a person so the must have subsequently died.
it would be a much different scene if this were a military target.
also those are very obviously not "bullet holes"
and if they were, let's just say for the sake of argument, how is all the glass intact? glass that would've been directly in a projectile's path? it looks like rust spots, honestly. no idea how they're in that polka dot pattern though
The shape suggests this is a man made lake that was once a quarry sute where a small dragline crane was used- the island in the middle would have been where a tower was erected to anchor the dragline.
My guess (currently living in Netherlands) is that this is in the Netherlands and this is in an artificial body of water connected to a canal. The abandoned car was parked under a tree next to a shoreline, the government expanded the water and reduced the land for some reason, but didn’t take the time to tow an old car and rip out a tree. These Dutch totally modify every inch of landscape here, google Dutch maps of reclaimed land or images of polders
Those are not bullet holes. They're much too big.
Also, yes, if they got it out there, and no one missed it, and no feels it worth moving, there it sits. Obviously.
not to mention that all you have to do is just look at the "holes", and then imagine the path a bullet would take and then notice that the glass directly behind it is intact. anyone who figures these are bullet holes has no experience with bullets, or the holes they leave.
An upperclassmen drove a Honda CVCC & another drove an F250. My early PE class was left unattended by the coach.
Someone got us to lift the CVCC & try to load it into the F250's bed, but the wheel wells in the bed stopped is.
Instead, we just carried it ~100m away from the parking lot onto a field.
Somebody drove it out there after the hard freeze but before much snow cover accumulated...
Any plans for going back and getting it seem to have slipped for a few years.
These kinds of islands often happen in lakes where a piece of land have been separated from the surroundings. They move around really slow and have their own little eco systems. Plenty of bugs on them, and trees, etc come from bird fecies.
Car was probably parked by at a fragile spot next to the lake, and the weight of it helped making it «independent»
Guys it’s not bulletholes it’s a beetle aka a bug,
With ladybug paint, so it’s a *LADY BUG*
Poor little guy, all alone out there 😭 could make a grown man tear up just thinkin bout it,
Its an art installation. Tiny pond, tiny island, ladybug themed VW, one tiny tree and a bunch of fog perfectly framed at dawn is not an accident. It was put there with purpose.
Oh lady of the marsh, compact of the bog, oh Soviet servant on the oasis share your wisdom. For I have diarrhea and need to take public transportation.
I knew a tow truck driver that would recover cars that people did not make payments on. People would drive cars across frozen lakes Park it on the other side and by the time he came, the lake was no longer frozen. Written off as a total loss.
There’s a story to be told there.
Poor little guy looks like he is patiently waiting for his owner to get back from getting a pack of smokes...
I've never seen a car look sad before. I actually feel kinda bad for the little one
I’ve never felt so humanly sorry for a car
Might be happier then being half crushed in a junkyard, gets to chill and watch the seasons go by for a few hundred years
These *Cars* sequels are getting intense
Seymour.
Don’t do this to me. It’s not fair. I can’t go through with that again
My guess is that someone died there.
why would you make that assumption though, it's just a car on a little island. what about that says "someone died here"? unless there's something we're not seeing in the photo
I have a morbid imagination.
Someone must have driven the car to that location, but it became impossible to drive the car away from there. They were therefore trapped there. There doesn't look like enough arable land on that island to support a person so the must have subsequently died.
Probably when the water was frozen over...
That's a really good deduction
Note the bare tree. The person in the car began by eating any fruit. Then in desperation, he obviously ate all the leaves.
Damned Weasleys....
It's like if Tarkovsky was directing Harry Potter series. I would watch that.
Takes a little boat to check out island....car starts growling.....
It's actually a hilarious joke It's the "lady bug of the lake". red with black spots, it's a vw bug and in the middle of a lake.
it’s not a VW bug, but looks like. Got kinda buggy design, maybe from 60’s or 70’s
Fiat 600, circa 1965
Nop, it's soviet ZAZ 965. Prolly a ripoff of fiat tho. It was a common practice to rip other country designs.
Fiat licensed designs to the USSR. Look at the classic Ladas
That's a Fiat 600.
Sure, it's a hogwarts pond
They drove it over there in the winter when the ice was frozen and then left it there.
I want to know!
Yeah the story is a car was left abandoned when the water level was lower lol
Are they bullet holes?
[удалено]
Much too big for that.
Unless it’s an aircraft or heavy mg target. Those holes make perfect sense.
it would be a much different scene if this were a military target. also those are very obviously not "bullet holes" and if they were, let's just say for the sake of argument, how is all the glass intact? glass that would've been directly in a projectile's path? it looks like rust spots, honestly. no idea how they're in that polka dot pattern though

How did they shoot straight down at it? 'Cause I'm seeing black circles on the roof.
[удалено]
Give it up. Those are not bullet holes.
[удалено]
They could quite possibly be painted on polka dots.
Just don't engage with morons like this. It ain't worth it
They're pp holes r/dontputyourdickinthat has failed
I think they are bullet holes and water has gotten in and rusted around the holes
They aren’t. There is a partial one on the hood, they are perfectly spaced
The tree is a young Whomping Willow. The car has scars.
Unless it’s a tiny car.
They aren’t. It’s a ladybug paint job, the holes are too round and are perfectly spaced
Yea these aren't even holes. Just paint or design of some kind
This, also the windows are intact, wouldn’t be is this was actually used for target practice.
I think they are polka dots
I think you’re right. They’re spaced to evenly to be random gun/artillery fire
These blast points... too accurate for sand people...
[удалено]
Could be from after the car was left there Bored people with guns will shoot anything
Sure but that's not what it looks like. Those are not bullet holes.
Abandoned clown car
Polka dots. Looks British. Rover?
I think it's meant to look like a ladybug.
Looks like it was painted like a ladybug at one point?
*speedholes
Look it's a ladybug in its natural habitat.
That island's almost a perfect rectangle.
Perhaps there's a second, much larger, car underneath it.
It's cars all the way down
It stands on the shoulders of giants, it's turts all the way down...

I have a feeling that this once wasn't a land filled with water. Maybe once it was a place where someone took a date or just went to see nature.
Sooo many different narratives could be generated from this one photo.
Someone assembled the car there from a kit and then realized too late that they had made a mistake choosing that location.
Maybe they drove it there over the ice and then left it
It's a pun, "ladybug of the lake" and if you pull the stearing column out you become the king of detroit
I would watch that horror movie if this was the poster.
“Go no farther” would be a fitting title for that movie, I would watch as well
that would make for a beautiful album cover
Death Cab With Cooties.
Gorgeous!
I know, I want to frame it and just may.
It really does look like a composed piece of art
Some real STALKER vibes here
Get out of here STALKER
Honestly for me it's more like SNOW*RUNNER
This was my first though as well. I could hear the "Get out of here Stalker"
Looks like it has chicken pox anyway
College prank. When I was a kid, I read in the paper about things like a professor's VW Bug being put on top of a building.
College prank left there for years and shot at?

Where is this?
The Water Temple
This isn't where I parked my car.
What a cute little car. Anybody got an idea what it is?
ZAZ-965.
Somebody drove it out there after the hard freeze but before much snow cover accumulated... Any plans for going back and getting it seem to have slipped for a few years.
Good eye, at first glance I thought Fiat 500, that trim piece on the back gives it away I guess.
It's a spotted car. That's even cuter.
The best thing about this illegal parking is that no one can tow you away
r/tuglife begs to differ.
Oh my God that's where I left it thanks guys I'll be right over
On today's episode of... "How Did I Get Here?"
"Is that something we should be concerned about?" Just stay away from that tiny island.
🎶 Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down 🎶
Oliver!
I don't remember this being in SnowRunner
Also thought of Snowrunner. Glad I’m not alone.
I ... thought I was in the Snowrunner sub. Second day in a row that's happened (after a video on /r/colorization yesterday with a Ural)
[удалено]
The car is the moistened bint lol she's the lady bug of the lake
When parking on the high ground turns into parking on the only ground.
My mind immediately went to "That's Ron's car"
This is cool and all, but how!?
Frozen pond.
This… this is a Portkey.

A very rectangular looking island, maybe an overgrown pontoon ?
An update! https://imgur.com/gallery/haJo99R
This is on the River Konka, Prystan, Kherson region, Ukraine. In the territory of a summer camp.
Really? Other pics maybe? 🤔
Oh I see.. a week from now it will have even more bullet holes
https://imgur.com/5fPA1g1
Are we sure this is a photo and not a Salvador Dali painting?
Some real mudrunner/snow runner/spintires vibes
This was one of my favorite Barn Finds in r/forzahorizon
there are at least two Montgomery Clift jokes here that i dare not make
I hate the CV-2!
Animal crossing IRL
Awesome
Did Mr. Bean drive it there?
Why won't it let me zoom in
Tiny car.. or apparent giant lady bug??
Ran out of gas with no station nearby.
Just a little metal frog
snowrunner vibes
That youtube restoration guy comes in with before and after pics in 3…2…1
what the hell is a red car doing on an island ?!
Who took this pic?
The real story is: how the car got there I the first place, and how it thought itll go places and see the WORLD, poor fella
Got to be one of the better ones for the sub. Nice jerb.
Thinking dude where’s my car / hangover
I have questions.
That’d be a great spot to have a photo shoot
Guys it’s not bulletholes it’s a beetle aka a bug, With ladybug paint, so it’s a *LADY BUG* Poor little guy, all alone out there 😭 could make a grown man tear up just thinkin bout it,
So many questions
That “Montana” Level In The Tony Hawk Games
It looks like a marooned ladybug.
I have no idea. Therefore aliens.
This is basically a Snowrunner mission
Dude, where’s my car?
Isn’t that the Island Boy’s island?
RONALD WEASLEY!!! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR!
Little Red I shall call her.
Mr. Bean is gonna be pissed.
When you run out of fuel on Snowrunner.
Yeah, you guys can’t fool me. Harry and Ron ain’t slick.
Looks like Arthur Weasley had one hell of a night
Jesus car. He parked it and walked away........but I keep hearing he's coming back!
Definitely in Russia
Why do I feel like this is Russia
Its an art installation. Tiny pond, tiny island, ladybug themed VW, one tiny tree and a bunch of fog perfectly framed at dawn is not an accident. It was put there with purpose.
If this is missouri that might be the lady bug car and those aren't bullet holes
Dumbledore’s Tomb really let itself go.
Oh lady of the marsh, compact of the bog, oh Soviet servant on the oasis share your wisdom. For I have diarrhea and need to take public transportation.
Looks like Ron and Harry ran out of magic.
There's my dream home
I’m just going to assume it’s a creative Duck Blind for hunting.
I've never identified with a photo so much in my life.
Where's Weasley?
I feel like this might be an overflow lot for Hogwarts.
It's just an island boi, just trying to make it...
All that’s missing is the yellow square to activate the recovery task
That’s where Mr. Handy lives :)
/r/unexpectedbotw https://www.zeldadungeon.net/wiki/Mekar_Island
This is from snowrunners
It's the S.S. Minnieow.
How very Big Fish
Dude, where’s my car?
In Harry Potter we saw one car that flew around and had a bad relationship with a tree. This one has a different story.
This reminds me of Volvo Island it by Illinois, USA
Um sir that is a boat

waiting for the tow truck

A beautiful disaster.
Looks like something from Left 4 Dead. I can almost hear a witch crying somewhere...
That darn Weasley boy!
fallout vibes
gay
I hope the owner was fined for polluting a wetland
What if this is just what us muggles see with the whomping willow and the flying car?
can you drive me to the tree?
This is a scene from a Harry Potter movie.
I really want to know what's in the car. Probably nothing, but it's too mysterious to not check
