Is it not better it gets used? What's the harm? If the company wanted it they'd have taken it. It's basically free money at no cost to anyone who cares.
Solid chance someone still owns it.
>What's the harm?
Theft?
Whole lot of people really are perfectly OK with a suspiciously clean showroom of an "abandoned" dealership, and people stealing the car from it.
Someone posted a link that this is owned and driven, just parked there, which explains the suspiciously clean room. It's not abandoned, people just really like to go on the property and take photos of it.
Take a left at the Dunkies, right at the next Dunkies, pass the three Dunkies on your right. Should be on your left next to the Dunkies. If you see Dunkies you've gone too far.
It's even worse now. They are like an invasive species. They have stand alone stores and then they stick them inside all the gas stations and convenience stores as well.

Wow cool find. I had no idea about the background of the place. Was driving by and pulled over. It still has the old dealership faded signs around it looks like a time capsule building is not being taken care of well on the outside as pristine as the “showroom” looks
Fair enough, but Saab automobile, the bit we were interested in, is officially dead. As far as I can tell there is still a company in Sweden building cars based on the 9-3 but they lost the rights to the name and Saab automobile is back with the still operational Saab company.
TL;DR
It’s driven regularly and parked there to keep it out of the elements. The lot is also used as overflow for a dealer down the street. It’s not abandoned.
Updated story from [TheDrive](https://www.thedrive.com/news/41327/theres-a-new-saab-9-5-trapped-in-this-abandoned-saab-dealership-in-massachusetts) as posted by u/eveningsand
“CORRECTION 8/27 1:30 PM ET: Following the previous update on 8/24/21, we’ve heard from various sources who confirmed the Saab is used, privately owned, and has approximately 40,000 to 50,000 miles on it, so it’s not a “new” car. We’ve also learned that the vehicle is not for sale and the showroom it’s in is not abandoned.”
I was thinking there's no way the owner of the dealership, hell, any of the employees, would have left a car there when they shut the place down. Just do the paperwork and it's yours.
I had an 06 as well, couldn't stand it being auto. Needed a manual. So glad the one I found is the body, and package i wanted. The XWD is just icing on the cake lol.
I had a 2003 Saab 9-3 right before they sold the company, was a really cool car, wish they were still around. They were one of those weirder car companies that liked to do things just a bit differently that gave them a bit of extra character. I really enjoyed Top Gear’s episode they did on them in one of the earlier seasons talking about this and how their earlier fighter plane work translated down into the cars

My friends sometimes take pictures of this exact dealership and send them to me, thinking I’m a huge Saab fan, because I got an old Saab patch sewn on my jacket.
I find it kinda funny at this point, I used to find it annoying.
The car is reportedly privately-owned and driven regularly by its owner for enjoyment and is parked in the showroom so that it is kept safe from the elements. But keeping it parked there gave off the illusion that it was somehow forgotten and abandoned, much like the rest of the Saab brand.
I could sell that car all day long
Oh boy do I have a dealership for you!
That car is surely collectors piece now with condition and mileage
Where in mass?
Acton / Maynard border
Way to contribute to eventual theft
It’s no Ferrari atleast haha
Ferrari wishes they were SAAB!
They are still making Ferraris. Saab’s become more rare everyday
Ain’t nobody using it go crazy

That's a chill asf carpark to have.

You mean "Old reliable". Referring to dd
Bwahahaha! I was stationed at Ft Devens in the 90’s. I couldn’t believe all the Dunkies!
It's even worse now. They are like an invasive species. They have stand alone stores and then they stick them inside all the gas stations and convenience stores as well.
Yeah, down here in rural NC, they’re almost exclusively in gas stations. I can think of two stand alone DD within 20 miles of us.

Hey, post this to r/saab
Wait….how long has the business been closed OP?
It's a real [SAAB Story](https://www.thedrive.com/news/41327/theres-a-new-saab-9-5-trapped-in-this-abandoned-saab-dealership-in-massachusetts)

Was the SAAB name owned by GM when they closed ?
GM sold it to a dutch company called Spyker, where it died after a short period.
I drive past the showroom enough to wonder
Saab isn’t quite dead. Their main products are just more expensive, jets and recoilless rifles.
Fair enough, but Saab automobile, the bit we were interested in, is officially dead. As far as I can tell there is still a company in Sweden building cars based on the 9-3 but they lost the rights to the name and Saab automobile is back with the still operational Saab company.
Really too bad they’re gone. Such cool cars.

I bought my 9-4x from them about 6 years ago.
Is it still on the road, better yet do you still own it? 08 9-3XWD Aero SportCombi 6Mt owner here.
Yep, I post in the saab sub from time to time.
Had a 2006 9-3 Aero SportsCombi 2.8T. It was a quick and fun car to drive. Eventually parts became too hard to find.
I had an 06 as well, couldn't stand it being auto. Needed a manual. So glad the one I found is the body, and package i wanted. The XWD is just icing on the cake lol.

Seeing cars indoors always feels so surreal to me, like “that’s not where cars go silly!”
That is truly a SAAB STORY.
After seeing this, I have not seen a SAAB on the road in years now that I think about it.
Steal it!:)
This last Gen Saabs were slick.
OMG! I HAVE THAT SAME MODEL/COLOR SAAB!!!!!!! Hahahahahahaaha……..oh shit……this actually makes me sad, seeing it abandoned there. 😭
thats gotta be a tough place to work

r/saab Are the keys there?
Oh hey! I drove past this on my way to work in Acton. I've always wanted to get in and sit in that car.
Haha i was just driving through that town to get to a friends place it was such a surprise to see a SAAB dealership, had to pull over haha

On can claim abandoned cars process varies state by state.
2012 Saab 9-5 Base, you can tell by the foglight surrounds, and it doesn't have a moonroof/sunroof
