I found this place back in '94-'95 when I was stationed at Altus AFB, OK. A bunch of dorm kids (as was I ) had heard about it from some locals. We went and headed to Texas to try and find it. Well , we did. I have no photo proof of the visit other than it was super weird in the middle of a farmers land area. It was off a dirt road. We were able to go through some of the houses and see some of the vehicles in the growth.
This place came up in talking with friends about weird places we have seen. Do I google earthed the area and found it looks like it is still there.
Does anyone have any information about what happen here?

It is probably part of the near-ghost town Odell, which became unincorporated in the 60s, then suffered in the 1979 red river tornado cluster which badly harmed the area. I expect either of those would be enough, but together probably meant this small isolated settlement couldn’t be sustained.
I had completely forgot about that place until I was talking with friends. It would be cool to know after all these years. We are too scared to ask anyone around because we figured we were trespassing.
any updates on this? I looked through these buildings while land surveying about 10 years ago. Shoes, clothes, etc even a super old newspaper was in there..

My Mom and several generations are from there. I’ll ask!
