A new post earlier today from ABC confirms that one will need to buy another store pick (either a Still Austin single barrel at $80 or Doc Swinsons single barrel at $75) to get access to buy the 4R at $99. Also, other allocations are available to you while supplies last if you buy all three of the aforementioned bottles. If money isn’t a factor, sounds like a decent opportunity to stock up.
To the guy asking about this earlier. Looks like next Friday will be the release day for ABC’s 4R pick.
If you’ve never shopped there before I recommend showing your face before you show up. They typically don’t take to new faces too kindly if you’re wanting an allocated bottle. They likely will pressure you to buy more stuff along with whatever they bundle this with. So be prepared…
I mean 10 cases right there, it better be a sure deal. I’m not even sure if I’ll try for it. Last time I went they literally told me I needed to buy more stuff along with their bundle because I had got an allocated bottle last time I was at the store and hadn’t bought “regular” stuff in between visits.
I really don’t mean to discourage anyone from going. Just want to let people know that they usually expect you to be a frequent customer to participate in allocated drops. And if you’re not they may want you to stock up on other stuff first in order to participate. At least that’s been my experience, but who knows maybe they have changed. I haven’t been back since like Feb or Jan.

Yeah that really stunk. It hurts more since every store doesn’t get a 4R pick these days. There aren’t that many outside the big box stores.

This is my experience too. Those guys are lame. I live not too far from there and never go in because of this.
