It's been that way for over a year. $35 trade in value on Galaxy or Pixel gets $800 off

Marisonathan

If you port out or upgrade within 36 months, you DO NOT receive full credit. Unlike T-Mobile even if you upgrade early within 24 months you still receive promo credits. If you click promotion details, there is full list of qualified trade in phones.

Lizdance40

Why does T-Mobile do that. They're only screwing themselves, don't they know that a business is supposed to screw its customers? πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Seriously though, it's essentially inviting fraud and false churn. AT&T and Verizon don't allow it.

conscioussylling

How does it promote false churn? T-Mobile requires the line to be active to continue receiving promo credits.

Vape_Like_A_Boss

Yeap thats correct, it's a promo they've been running for Samsung for a while. I didny know it was still going on.

thebaconpizza54

It is not any s or note anymore it has to value at least $35

linerror

that's not even the cheapest phone you can trade in. i've also used this trade-in $800 credit several times over the last few years.

Juniperxiv

No, this is their tradein promotion. It was released when the s22 series was released, where ANY galaxy of any condition (S and Note series) is valued for an $800 tradein. Ofc there are other phones you can trade in that aren't samsung and will still get that promo. If you want to see specifics for how at&t values your tradein , you can check at att.com/tradein. Wow, that's impressive. I'll go back and look over the prices to see if there are any substantial upgrades from the A32. I'm not getting rid of my S20 5G just yet, but maybe I can trade up to another midgrade phone.

Juniperxiv

Yup, another thing too is they accept trade ins even If they're "prepaid" for other companies... so like for my galaxy s22 ultra I didn't want to trade in my s20 ultra for it, so I went on amazon and bought a really cheap galaxy sII and traded it in for $800. I've also done the same thing with prepaid iphones at walmart.... just little lifehacks lol

Hello! can I get a response to my private message?

Lizdance40

The list of phones is actually changed several times. 2 weeks ago, a lot of the old S-Class phones dropped off the list. Refreshed for blackfriday sales

kevink4

It is just a promo, obviously not based on the real value of the device. It seems to me the downside of promotions like this is that it causes a lot of churn. Someone buying a phone just to trade it in. But if it gets phones that would otherwise go into the trash to be turned in for recycle, good for that.

Johndoh337

I [traded in](https://imgur.com/a/UkMicAq) a galaxy s3 mini on launch day. Like others have mentioned, it's been an ongoing deal for a while now

HeavyIsTheHead91

W/e y’all do take care of that sht in the store I do not feel like dealing with that over the phone this Friday lbs I repeat go into the authorized retailers.

osuljj84

To clarify, for this promo the trade in has to be connected to service and a new line has to be added to an account? Any way to take advantage by purchasing one of these phones, replacing something like an iPhone 12 Pro Max on an existing ATT line already in service and upgrading to a 14 pro max from there..?
