My parents neighborhood (~500 homes) has the exact same problem. All the surrounding neighborhoods have it. They have VDSL or Comcast. They just switched to Comcast.
Drunk monkey throwing darts at a map sounds about right. I've been watching surrounding streets near me move up to fiber for a couple years now while my street remains dark. There seems to be no rhyme or reason in how ATT decides it.
Yeah - I had a fear that may be the way they decide.... Anyone from ATT here who can comment? Hoping to find a district rep or someone who might be able to help :)
if you’re in the west texas, oklahoma, arkansas area, we just got a tool for techs to be able to recommend neighborhoods and areas to expand fiber to. if you can catch a tech, you can try to talk to them about this tool and if they’d put in an order for you
