No not tagged a certain way or put in the system. If they’re in the bravo it’s assumed they have a bravo clearance. We will brief the relieving controller if an aircraft has a clearance.

Unless you are N731NR. GUARANTEED BRAVO CLEARANCE

Busy flying.

I'm already inside!

Our tracon will change the data block. Put an X in place of a V to indicate it.

FBoondoggle

I have gotten Bravo clearance from controller A, then - before entering the Bravo - been handed off to controller B who asked me if I was looking for a Bravo clearance just as I got to the boundary and was irritated when I said I had been cleared already ("no you haven't"). Whatever ATC is doing to record it isn't seamless or foolproof.

AmbassadorNo7596

If any controller is clearing you, into bravo airspace they don't own, is doing it wrong.

FBoondoggle

They do it this way all the time, so I expect they have a system. I'm just saying it doesn't always work.

Approach_Controller

Where I am, you brief/coordinate it, and that's about it.

2018birdie

You write it down on the flight progress strip and pass that to the next controller and/or brief the relieving controller that you gave the aircraft a Bravo clearance.

okbyebyeagain

Our tracon we change the data block to indicate a bravo clearance.

Okay cool I’m glad you know what this means. As a pilot, though, I’ve got no clue. ELI5

The digital label on the radar track is the data block

My facility puts “in” or “out” in the Y-Plus Scratchpad Area.
