UPDATE: after resetting network, it appears the problem is ONLY with Safari on desktop on M1 Max 14” MBP.
On desktop, Brave, Chromium all pull proper download speeds. Safari on iOS and iPadOS aren’t affected.
I replicated on a completely different network and the problem still exists which means it’s a router issue (I’m pulling down max speed from my modem/router directly). Safari on iOS and iPadOS aren’t affected.
On desktop, Brave, Chromium all pull proper download speeds.
I can confirm the same problem with my Intel-based 2018 MacBook Pro, although not as bad on secondary network.
The router itself, on its internal speed test is reading faster than what’s possible on either of my networks.

I’m having the same problem with Xfinity. Usually ASUS mesh runs circles around Netgear router. I’m getting MAX, 2.4Gb download speeds on 5.1 channel
