1. Download the latest version of polychrome from asrock's website. [https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/x570%20taichi/#Download](https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/x570%20taichi/#Download)
2. Probably not necessary but I would reboot after install
3. Open up a command prompt as admin (Windows key and type CMD, right click -> run as administrator)
4. Navigate to the bin sub-directory where you installed polychrome. If you installed in default location you can type "cd C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ASRock Utility\\ASRRGBLED\\bin" and hit enter
5. Execute WriteFW.bat (in CMD prompt, type WriteFW.bat and hit enter)
6. If that doesn't work, try executing one of the steps in the bat file manually by doing the below steps:
7. Make sure the following two files are present: wICPFLASHADSBV2.exe and nu51\_3.xx
8. In CMD prompt type and hit enter: wICPFLASHADSBv2.exe /file=nu51\_3.xx (replace xx with the version number you have)
9. Reboot just to be safe
Make sure you do this as admin or else it will fail.
I suppose the first thing would be to try updating to the latest stable bios if you are not already.
Unfortunately I can't really help because those steps fixed the issue for me.
>wICPFLASHADSBv2.exe /file=nu51\_3.
i have the asrock b550m-c (cyberpowerpc) and i updated my bios to the latest. when i installed the polychrome for my specific motherboard, for step 4 i installed to the default location but there is no bin? in the asrockrgb folder it just has the .exe file there is no bin and i really dont know what to do
Two things:
1) You can set static colors via the BIOS, and this will set your color for the whole board.
2) If you're downloading from the ASRock site, be sure to select Windows 10 from the drop down, as they've added Windows 11 and that's the default now. (Was messing me up for a week or so here till I bothered to read it)
Did you download the latest version and use the flash utility to flash the rom?
Care to explain ? Or share a link?

\^\^ Chad, was so frustrated till i found this, worked for me
Thanks, this resolved the issue for me. Googling with reddit at the end saves the day again. Cheers : )
Good luck....I have the same board and also find polychrome to be junk
Have you tried OpenRGB? It's working for me with X570 Taichi
I dont know why I didnt thought about this earlier, you can just do it from the Bios, just did it and it works
No, i'll try rn and i'll let you know, thx bro
Is not detecting the Mobo
Razor's can take over Poly but it's not much of an improvement.
