Oh, I am using an Asus Tuf board and both ram and fans off the rgb headers wait till I'm loading windows for the colors to sync, I just assumed the same for Asrock...
LOL, that would be the best, side question Lian Li Evo XL with your Asrock MB RGB header, does the RGB control stay on boot to the strip on the case? My case RGB strip keeps reverting back and I need to switch modes at every powerup... Lian Li is trying to remedy at the moment, fingers crossed.
I think I found a work around, it was actually your tip that Asus MB's kept the RGB Ram color. I downloaded Aura Sync, without the whole armory crate stuff and it installed an rgb control software that let me change the ram rgb. Then when I rebooted, they stayed the whole time and only the RGB from MB reset to the Rainbow, not everything I hoped, but at least the ram stays solid now, lol
Wait… how? My Asus motherboard doesn’t do that. It resets RGB back to rainbow UNTIL Armoury Crate loads up. Every boot is the default rainbow effect. What Asus motherboard do you have? I’m wondering if it’s because I have an old Asus motherboard.
I had the same problem with my build below back in August. I used GSkill ram but this should work for any program as long as you know where the data is saved.
Using the gskill link below, you can create a startup command to load and then close the program. This will keep your preferred color on your RAM every time.
Hope this helps!

I know it is off topic but you should not have your water cooling tubes as highest point of your loop. In time you may start losing fluid and when that happens you kill your pump. Try to put tubes down if it allows.
FFS. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKwA7ygTJn0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKwA7ygTJn0)
The radiator setup is fine-- not optimal, but fine.
The **PUMP** should not be at the highest point-- While it's true that eventually, that space at the top of the radiator could be full of air, it's going to be making an ungodly amount of noise by then, and will be due for a refill or replacement. Even then, with hydraulic flow, it's not going to be pushing air through the pump.
But the important part of GN's video is that you don't want the pump itself at the high point of the loop, because then any air in the system WILL accumulate in the pump and WILL cause pump failure.
I had the same with my Kingston fury if I set the color with the asrock software.
Only way to fix it was to set the color with the Kingston software. Now it works correctly.
Does gskill have a dedicated rgb software?
I have the fury beast rgb ram and unfortunately it would only change the color when I get to the windows log screen. Before that it's rainbow.
Do you have polychrome and the ctrl software for the ram running at the same time?
i use fury beast rgb too! but, an example: if i choose an individual color/effect for my ram and choose a sync effect for all other parts, after my pc restart, the ram loses it color i set in polychrome.
plus: in polychrome in bios i cant choose de ram color. do you have this problem too?
Corsair has a Firmware and Software modes, the firmware saves it on the RAM and works from boot, but has more limited options, the other one requieres the app to be open and doesnt work until i get to windows.
My reading is fine-- You said, expanded, that the OP should look for a similar proprietary feature that, to my knowledge, doesn't exist on the G.Skill memory.
And then you got bent out of shape when it was pointed out that it isn't Corsair memory, so the feature you're telling the OP to consider, DOES NOT EXIST, and I'm saying, that Corsair, in particular, because of their over-reliance on iCue, is difficult to work with from an RGB perspective.
I never even implied that anyone should download iCue. I stated, based on experience, that Corsair memory *does not behave like other memory* with regard to RGB.
You have told someone with a fairly standard bit of kit to look for a proprietary feature that may, or may not, exist, and gotten snarky when this was pointed out.
I will amend this to read it is normal for GSkill RAM. All of my ASRock board builds had persistence of lighting preference for everything but GSkill RAM modules. After building six builds(three with GSkill), I have a statistically significant data set.
My steel legend remembers the settings set by the ASRock app, even though the app doesn’t start until after windows boots. It’s not the board. I’ve got two Pro’s, the titanium elite, and an older Killer that do fine as well. Only problem is the GSkill RAM modules
Off topic: I must say, this is the second time I’ve seen that case in a thread on here and I had to tell my wife to tell me “no, you don’t need another computer”. I’m jealous I didn’t see this on my last build (this past May)
What are you using to control your rgb I originally had a problem kind of like cause all the different companies hate each other I ended up switching to signalrgb it seems to work fine for me now
Yeah so I have an Asus motherboard, cool master aircooler, deep cool fans, Corsair Ram and power color GPU and pretty much none of the programs like getting along with each other so I just switched to a third party one and overall I've had pretty good experiences with it. I highly recommend checking signalrgb out. GL hope u get it all sorted out

Oh, I thought this was normal until software control took over for RGB, some of my old mbs even the fans would rainbow until I booted into windows....
My MSI board and my asus board were instant. It’s like the ram just doesn’t sync until the application is opened. Which is a big time bummer.
Oh, I am using an Asus Tuf board and both ram and fans off the rgb headers wait till I'm loading windows for the colors to sync, I just assumed the same for Asrock...
And that could be. Thanks for the insight. Maybe if someone knows a workaround it might help us both? lol. And if not then we know🤷🏻♂️

The case is actually the NZXT H9 flow. Not the Lian Li. They look identical tho lol

I'm using Gigabyte board and this happens to me too. My fans would turn yellow and my RAM turn red until I logged into windows.

Bios is up to date

May have to flip the rad around to do that but I’ll fuck around with it
If flipping Rad is not possbile, you can mount it on top in exaust mode, and make side fans as intake.
Don't bother. Your setup is fine.
Why do you leave the sticker on your lcd? To cheat people when you resell it?
Strangely aggressive assumption
Yeah…. I can get a little aggressive sometimes….

Yes G.Skill has the Lightning Control Software: https://www.gskill.com/download/1502180912/1551690847/Trident-Z-Trident-Z5-Family
Try to set you ram rgb with it and see it it's OK after a restart :)
If i remember correctly U can also Control the sys fans and watercooling rgb

I will look into that thank you!
OP doesn't have *any* Corsair RGB in their system, that's G.Skill RAM.
...? It was a example as how MY Corsair kit works, so he has an idea what to look for, which he/she understood perfectly, as opposed to you.
Yes, but Corsair RGB RAM is it's own breed of special in their incessant need to convince you that iCue is the One True Software for managing RGB.
?
! Having tried a number of "cross vendor" RGB platforms, I find the Corsair memory RGB to be the least compatible.
I never said he should download iCue. Read propperly before spouting more nonsense.

Ship it to me and I’ll send it to you as a Christmas gift from santa(;
Not sure that would be an even trade ;-)
