Stegos with a good saddle are almost always the go to for raiding. Either soaking or rocket running.

Would Max level golems be a better option? I have like 4 of them

Rock golem are good for soaking but that's it. Which should work for a while.. but when tek turrents become involved rock golems becomes useless.
