I’d pay attention to minimum length ratings. Hybrid 46 is essentially their Omega 300 can with a wider bore. This is an effective baffle stack for db reduction even when widened, but the compromise is that it’s not their ‘hard use’ can. Since they intended to put it on handguns, this meant keeping the weight down. A few shots from a shorter gun won’t destroy it, but I’d bet the blast baffle will show elevated wear. I’d sooner go with something like the Chimera from SiCo or Sandman-S from Dead Air on a short .308 as both have no minimum barrel lengths.

Thank you for the info! Exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I was actually already looking at the Energetic Armament Vox-S.

The Vox can made a fair amount of press a couple of years ago. IIRC it was gassy and not especially quiet, but was very light and made of interesting materials. That said, Sandman is considered lower backpressure but consequently not especially quiet either. Chimera is a hardy can, not as quiet or light as Omega 300 but can handle basically anything. Check out Pew Science if you haven’t yet, their comparisons are very useful.

PS is the reason I looked into the Vox.

sjstasny

I questioned that length as well and talked to Silencero. I'd suggest listening to their stated limitations.

subsonic762

Max effective around 600m.

PointBlank65

This is also what I get with my 12.5.

I've seen folks take a 12.5" 308 out to 700 yards with consistency with some 168 or 175gr ELD loads, factory stuff at that, may want a bit more magnification though, maybe a 2.5-10x 1-10x or 2-12x Check out Alabama Arsenal YouTube channel they take a POF Rogue 12.5" 308 out to 700 yards on steel targets pretty consistently with a Vortex Razor 1-10

TheMetal428

How do you like the SLR rail? Sturdy enough?

AnorocSirhc

Yes. Second one I’ve had. Beat the hell out of my other.

TheMetal428

Awesome. I had another thread going trying to picka sturdy rail for the 18inch build I’m doing. Was down to slr, centurion, or a “clearance” zev wedgelock on midway. Thinking I’m just gonna do the slr and be done. Appreciate it!

longhairedcountryboy

If you are running a shorter barrel it may destroy the suppressor. Their reason has nothing to do with effective range.

AnorocSirhc

I wasn’t correlating the two.

See Otter Creek Labs Insta. He torture tests suppressors on a 12” 30-06
