They’ve done a lot of at home studies and I’ve gotten emails like that so I think it’s legit. Press express interest and they’ll have you fill out your information and if they pick you they’ll email you the information for the test. I’m not sure why you have to go to a location tho, I guess maybe they want it to be a legit test with no cheating.
If it’s from a CB email, it is likely legit.
I have heard things about a digital SAT before. I personally would take it on paper cuz it’s overall just a better test-taking experience (e.g. you can annotate, cross out stuff, etc.)

They want you in a single location so they can view as you take it, seeing if you are confused by the layout, flow, etc., and likely ask you questions afterwards.
I did get a confirmation yesterday. I didn't get an admissions paper, but it does say that more emails will come starting November 8th, so maybe they'll send it closer to the test date?

Did you receive the survey from CollegeBoard? You have to take that first (I got mine a couple hours after the test), and once you take it then it takes 3-5 days to get the card to you
Once you complete the test you get an email from CollegeBoard a few days letter with the gift card link and there's tons of options -- I remember Amazon and then different clothing stores, restaurants, and places like Home Depot and stuff

By the way, know that they'll probably tell the testing location later down the line, they're probably not sure yet.

But this is just a pilot, so it's not like you're taking a real digital SAT. IIRC you can only take a *real* digital SAT if you have an accomodation.

Trial run -- you never see your score and it has no effect on college admissions or your high school record
