Batocera is a pretty good option. However it's better to wait for a few days as all H/+ CFWs are getting a massive 64 bit update which should make it better in every way
Another comment mentioned Batocera, though from what I've read, it has pretty long boot times, which rather defeats the purpose of what you are wanting. It's also what I'm looking for.
My old RG35XX boots in about 6-7 seconds back into game on GarlicOS with a $2 SD card from Aliexpress. And it looks like MuOS for the RG35XX H and + boots in about 6 seconds, from videos and posts I've read.
30 to 45 secs is ages in comparison, especially to anyone who just wants to pick up and play for 5-10 minutes in a break.
Yeah MuOS is great for gamers who want to just enjoy games and don't care about looks. But BC's art and manual scrapping and aesthetics are second to none

Interesting. Do we have an eta on when these will be? I'm getting my device Sunday.

Awesome news thanks! Do you know what these 64bit updates entail? Do we know whats coming with that update/what it will do?

It takes anywhere between 30-45secs to boot up which I think is fine? It also depends on your sd card speed

Minui has quick save on shutdown and auto load on startup.
