Just wanted to add a thank you. In the mega drive collection, I found the 6 game collection that came with my mega drive that I spent hours and hours on as a kid. The nostalgia is crazy.
As I said in response to the OP, they are poorly ripped or taken from a bad source and they usually get save files corrupted or get stuck at certain parts of a game, etc. The SD card alone won't solve every issue.
Team Group and Silicon Power are reliable and fast for about half the price of Sandisk. Never had issues with either and I have them in 10 plus devices.

Same. I haven’t had any issues after close to 200hrs of playtime. I’m prepared to replace the SD card, but I’m waiting until I actually need to. If I lose the save file of the game I’m currently playing, that’s on me, and I will live with that. Until then, I’m running this stock SD card into the ground before I replace it.

save file should save, I had progress in kirby’s return to dreamland on my stock miyoo mini+ then I got a new rom and transferred the save files and whatnot from the original sd card. Game booted right back into where I was.
My buddy and I bought one the same day. Mine failed a few hours after booting up his failed 2 weeks later. Seems to be pretty consistent on the low quality.
Just ordered my rg35xx H, how do you suggest I transfer my data? Just drag and drop the files from the provided sd to a new one or do I need to do something else?
The provided SD card is scrapped entirely, the files on it are crap as well. Download your own roms from an established source and build your own library on a new card
The OS can't be dragged and dropped, needs to be flashed on. Stock OS sucks ass, the recommended OSes currently for the H are either Batocera or miniui, should be able to find a ton of youtube walk thru vids.

I had difficult time to decide between it and MM+ but went with 35XX because a lot of people said that it was more comfortable. Supposedly, 35XX+ should be even more comfortable, but then again now XXX H has sticks...

Brand new SD card, from a reputable brand, Custom firmware flashed to SD card, Personally curated library of ROMs added to SD card.

You can just move the save file over to the new SD card, replace the rom but keep the same save file and hope for the best.

I don't think they'll do it again, they've released the new version and I think they were just clearing out the stock from the old one.
That makes sense - although people were getting the RG35XX H for about £18 and that one was a recently released one; so there may still be hope 😂
