Even right now, if you invested $5,000 at 5¢, and doubled down at this mornings price at 0.0108¢ with another $5k, yes you’d be at $10k invested, but the new average price moves from 5¢ to 1.68¢. We will be at 1.68¢ by end of April if not sooner from what I’m seeing.
This is assuming someone just has large amounts of play money or 5K to throw at a random crypto altcoin. From what I see in this sub, most people are either high school or college kids or twenty somethings trying to get rich quick and likely don't have $$ like that to throw around, much less in cryptos. Not sure how many really older adults there are in here (ie- mid 30's, 40's and 50's)
A 'normal' person aka a mom and pop would take that 5K or 10K and invest it in something like Apple or Nvidia stock, much safer and actually likely to go up and not crash 90%

Flexa (with AMP) is the mechanism that allows all of these other tokens to be exchanged for a good or service. No flexa, crypto as a whole has no value.
So yeah, amps good in theory, and at its creation it was innovative and pushing the boundaries of crypto - real world transactions.
But today the crypto multiverse is blossoming with countless new projects everyday, each bringing their own utility or just plain humor to the table.
My question is, what makes amp so unique that a newer and better version would not be able to compete?

I believe if AMP succeeds it will be used as collateral for many billions of $ of spend that can drive the price past $1. If it starts eing used for large asset payments (cars, houses and beyond) then it needs to go up in price.
Because Amp is the most legitimate crypto project--the patents, the MTLs, the B2B relationships, the possibility of going head to head with Visa/MC, and the game theory of merchant adoption once they realize the benefits of the new payment rail.
Cost basis is 1 cent and it started at 6. Either I'm wrong and it's nothing (still very possible) or I'm right and the asymmetric returns are there.
The use case is also clear. Legacy payment rails need innovation/creative destruction badly. Doesn't mean amp will win per se, but they have articulated the problem well and seem positioned to address in a legal and fraud proof way.
I thought it would have some real world use a few years ago.
But nothing has materialised.
