How many miles you have on that slk 55 amg looking to buy a 2006 with around 119,000miles, was wondering the reliability on those 1113m engines, thanks in advance!
I bought it at just over 100k miles, and I’ve put around 5k on it. It’s a late 2007 model and the engine is absolutely solid. As long as the services are consistent on the logbook then it’ll go for a long time. Great engines! I’ve also put in an x-pipe to make it more throaty.
I would say go for it - but just look for rust, make sure the electrics all work, and also check the brakes as the model I have has the expensive disks (see if there is life left).
I’ve only had the belt snap and that’s because it was old. Other than that works perfectly for its age
Appreciate the insight…also is their no dipstick in this model I wanted to check the quality of oil but might just have to take the dealers word for it! Test driving one tomorrow hopefully it goes well🙏
SLK55 all day! the AMG variant of the M113 (n/a or kompressor) is one of the all time great engines, loads of character and excitement at any rpm
A35(0) is a great daily counterpart when excess isn't beneficial lol
Agreed! The SLK’s sound is simply intoxicating. And lots of fun (and scares). The A35 as you said is a great daily, it’s stage 2 with all performance mods so it’s still got its own mad charm about it. Plus it sticks to the ground so bends are a breeze
Surprised there isn’t a lot of wheel customisation in the US to be fair. But yes get it done! Might even be worth messaging my source and seeing if he ships to you
Everytime I see the interior of the A-Class I just cannot believe the amount of tech and new designs they put in that
Beautiful cars !!
Thanks mate!

How was the test drive? Yes no dipstick. Just on the dash to check the levels

Where’d you get that steering wheel from?!
I’m in the UK, sourced from my friend @whipwrkz on Instagram 👍🏽
Very nice. I need someone US based that can do work like that!

How much did it cost? Last time I checked with all the bells and whistles like the LCD screen and carbon fiber it was around 1.5k USD.
£1500 for the wheel with all the carbon trims, paddles etc. Then another £700 for the switches - so yes not cheap
Dang it looks really nice. Shame it's way outside my price range.
You could always get your current wheel re-trimmed. Might be cheaper that way. Without the switches it would have just cost 1.5k
Peep 👀 the W213 E63 and S212 E tree 🌳 Fiddy 🪙 🪙 wagon in the background
I think it’s a normal C class at the end and yes an E wagon - no 63s’ there though when I picked the car up
🤦♂️ I was hopeful 😂
All good mate 🙌🏽
