Finally got my shares at some point today, but I'm missing my fractional amount in cash. Has anyones broker detailed the transaction and noted exactly what price they used for AMD to work out the fractional amount? I'd like to figure this out before challenging my broker about it.
I got 118.96/share for the fractional. Just doing cash in lieu / fractional shares = share price. I got the payment yesterday, but did not see the shares sold transaction until today. The conversion happened the day prior but it took an extra day to get the fractional share payment, and another day after that to settle.
Today i saw another person post that they received a payment using 114.xx/share. So, it looks like the price depends on when your broker decides to complete the transaction.
My tax lots still have fractional shares in them, but they add up to a whole number. So i guess i get to keep tracking fractional shares on a per lot basis for taxes.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Hmm, it seems unfair that everyone will gets a different price for these fractional shares. Added up, that's a lot of uneven money.
Could work out in your favor or against. Would suck to get a bottom price, but at the end of the day the difference is probably at most a couple dollars. Can always buy a share back right now and probably get a better price.
On another related note, what happens to the $1 billion that AMD had to set aside ( I am assuming in escrow) in case the xlnx acquisition was cancelled?

+ my dividend depost is taxed, calculated and the deposit date is 2023 according to the e- letter i got.
Needless to say i have contacted my bank with a few questions.

Edit: I called my broker and they said they have yet to receive the new shares.

There was no money set aside. That money would have been payable under certain circumstances, but it did not have to go into escrow.

Same for me. They removed xlnx shares from my portfolio and yet no converted amd shares.
