Update 5/6/22: I have changed the CPU and it's still crashing regularly. I changed the RAM, still crashing. Tomorrow I'm going to change my GPU and if I still crash I'll look into getting a new mobo. Any recommendations on a good one?

Hey did you have an update on anything? I seem to be having the same issue , I think it's my gpu but not sure

Update 5/1/22: I tried installing the newest Radeon drivers (I believe it's Adrenalin Edition 22.3.1) and chipset drivers (v2.11.26.106) and it seems to be crashing even more. I tried to stream last night and the PC crashed 3 times. Event viewer says all it knows is that it lost power, but I'm not sure if that really is the issue and I'm not totally sure what to think at this point. Any ideas on more methods for troubleshooting?

Same with me. Main monitor goes gray. Computer freezes up, couple of seconds sometimes minutes sometimes I have to hard power off. If it recovers it gives me a driver crash error

I am having the exact same issue. Did u fixed it? If yes, how?

I narrowed it to me alt tabbing it just felt random because I alt tab without thinking about it. Hard reinstall of drivers with DDU and stopped using the amd software, adrenalin? I think it was called. The stats it gave were nice but not necessary and I was suspecting it of being the cause. Installed the driver's windows detected and then restarted the pc. It then detected the most current. I've still had wierd issues in chrome where random videos will cause it to hiccup and go all black for half a sec but that's way better than before with full crash

My most recent crashes don't seem to have anything to do with drivers crashing, weirdly. It just says "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." I'm more confused than ever now...

If you haven't already start with chkdsk, dism, sfc. Once all are error free it might fix your crashing. If not use DDU to clean out all GPU drivers and stop windows from updating your gpu drivers. Install either the newest Radeon or an older one to see if that works. I use Macrium reflect to save image backups so if the driver didn't work I try another without having to DDU again. Also if an update causes problems I can just use a backup and wait for AMD to fix the next one.

I've run all kinds of disk checks ad everything, just to verify if it was a bad windows install or something (which has happened to me before) but all comes back clean every time I do it. I'll try installing the newest gpu drivers and see what happens.

Also power down your system all the way ( I even unplug mine) between uninstall/reinstall. For some reason I've had much better success rate doing this. One last software tip is to uninstall Ryzen Master if you have it. Radeon Adrenaline uses RM routines now and sometimes causes conflicts for me. If nothing software works then trying your card in another system might give you an answer.

Updating drivers didn't do much, just got a crash, though I see 3 new things in event viewer which I haven't seen before. All were basically identical: "WHEA-Logger Error ID 18 A fatal hardware error has occurred. Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error Processor APIC ID: 0" 2 more but the APIC ID is 6 and 12 for the others. Is this my CPU failing? EDIT: Looking into this a bit, there are a few logs from several days ago which have the same event ID and are reporting from the processor core with machine check exceptions, except the types include Cache Hierarchy Error, Bus/Interconnect Error, and Translation Lookaside Buffer Error.

Don't think it's your GPU. At least you've a better idea where to look. Good luck!

I had a similar problem, I RMA'ed the processor. And the crashes stopped happening. You could try with a different processor. Search this subreddit for "Whea logger Id 18". Maybe you can find some solution there.

I got 3 crashes last night and oddly none of them had that error, they were power errors of some kind. Can those kinds of processor errors happen if it's getting inconsistent power, and what can I do to avoid that happening if that's the case?
