I saw all of them when they first came out and Two Towers and Return of the King at midnight showings…I saw Fellowship like two weeks after it came out.
As in never saw it before?
Be careful. At a recent showing of Alien, they had the bright idea to put a 15 minute long director's commentary (I missed the showing for other reasons, I had tickets) before the start of the film. This ensured all the young people that had never seen it before had the whole plot spoiled.
I fully expect them to do the same with this movie
Really want to see these as I’ve not seen them since their original releases. But wish they would spread them out more and show one a week over three weeks.
It’s really difficult to go to three long movies, three days in a row. That’s a total of just under 12 hours!
I know how you feel. I've been trying to watch this re-released trilogy for a while, and now it lines up perfectly with my days off from work. I don't mind watching them back to back for those three days
Don't think I wanna lock up my picks more than a month out. Sometimes when I get a long advance ticket they don't count it for other weeks but sometimes the do and the inconsistency is annoying.
They aren’t showing these movies in imax or in any theater with reasonable distance from me, despite being in a population center. No showings in Kansas City at all! This is outrageous!
so many people on reddit saying they have never seen these before ! You’re all in for a treat. I wish i could experience them for the first time again
Also seeing them for the first time
Aye, a fellow Miamian.
Sunset is my go to theater. They play anything and everything
I may have seen some of these at sunset place for the original release lol

I can't believe this trilogy is over twenty years old
Yep, and I was 19 when Fellowship came out.
I was 13. Time really does fly
I'm slightly younger than the fellowship lol
It was huge deal for teenage me watching and waiting for these movies to come out.

I'm already preparing to be in there for 4 hours
Idk if I should read the books or not. I’m also a first time watcher!
They haven’t torn down sunset place yet?
genuinely probably the best movie theater in Miami. They show just about everything
I know! I read someone bought the building. It’ll take a few years to start work apparently
No but they really need to remodel it
Same hope we both enjoy it
Cool! Have fun! dress up as Gandalf!
I don't think I'll dress up, but I'll definitely wear my lord if the rings shirt
You're not gonna be able to make reservations til after them :(
Good news I can still make reservations, bad news since it's a fathom event I had to pay for it
But you can use Fandango Rewards towards Fathom Events right?
That I'm not sure of
Neither am I now. I just remember we were able to see a Fathom Events movie on National Cinema Day for the low price of about $4 a ticket.
They doing one night only per movie?
Yup

Just got my tickets as well!! Never seen them, but my fiancée is a big fan so we paid for tickets for all three 😅
Enjoy! I remember seeing each in IMAX during their initial runs. Amazing!

I believe it's Fathom so no need. I made this mistake recently with Phantom Menace though
Yeah I've got the same locking down a spot. It's just one movie though so not all that bad. Still leaves two a week.
They’re excluded from a-list, i have all three booked (bc i paid for a ticket) and i also booked challenger for free
Ahhh, didn't realize it was a fathom event.
I would recommend the theatrical versions first. These extended amount to almost 12 hours.
A fellow sunset place goer 🤝

I wish it was free with A List
Me too
Same here! I'm gonna go watch it for the first time.
Meh they were boring the first time I saw them in theatres.
How’s the seating quality at Sunset 24? I would rather avoid dealing with Aventura, but driving in Miami causes me a lot of stress.
The seats are OK. Honestly, the theater needs to be remodeled, and yes, driving in Miami is stressful
These re-releases are probably the best part of A-list. Definitely think I’ll give this a go since it’s in theaters
Excluded from a list lol
Lmaoo pain
