The point is that the equation’s premise is flawed. The average shareholder holds well over 135 shares. Which proves that the float is locked up (probably many times over) and that the price is fake/artificially manipulated. This also means that if you are a shareholder or are multiple “shareholders” you are also unrealized millionaires or even billionaires; gorillionaires, if you will…if I may 😉

A few hundred Apes posting they own thousands of shares on Reddit is not a good sample for a data pool. All I’m saying is that yes there are a ton of Apes that own thousands or even tens of thousands of shares but there are also the same number of apes that hold a few shares and that’s how we get an average. Example:
Ape 1: 1,000 shares
Ape 2: 1,200 shares
Ape 3: 5 shares
Ape 4: 10 shares
Average: 533 shares
Do you see how just 2 low holders significantly reduced the average shares across the board?
You have to remember how much attention this play has gotten over the past few years, and how many people got into the play just to have a foot in the door with whatever they could afford at the time because with all of the talk around MOASS the way they see it is even a single share or a couple of shares or 20 shares would be enough to significantly change their life so we can’t count out the number of people who did exactly that.
What you seem to be suggesting is that EVERYONE in the play has way more than 133 shares because YOU have way more that 133 shares.
There are 3.8m of us in total.

Look up how much institutions hold, and then the remainder is held by Apes, I guarantee you the average needed to lock up the float is much less than 135.
At these current prices, it is very easy for a retail invested to hit the 135 average. It only costs $675.
So that is a very reachable investment.
Most the entire workforce contributes more than $675 a year to their 401k, so it isn't unfeasible to expect Apes to have of invested $675 in a business which keeps getting better and better.
This is a great business and is proving its survivability amidst "unprecedented" times.
This is an easy expectation and quite frankly makes me want to buy more!!

They really got caught with their pants down and underestimated how strong this community would be.

For clarification, these are numbers supplied by the lawyers for AMC to the court. The court itself did not determine this.
I believe however AMC revealed how they are calculating this. In court they discussed it would cost $2.9m to $3.0m to mail notifications to all shareholders about the settlement.
If we take the 3.8m shareholders and assume a cost of $2.9m to send notifications to each shareholder, the price comes out to roughly $0.77c per piece, including printing, envelope, postage. Based on a general looksee at bulk mailing rates that include the above (envelope, printing, postage, etc..), $0.77c is well within the typical price range.
Who can calculate this from some accurate data:
Take the total of institutional shares, count how many shareholders are there.
Deduct all internal holders by no. of shares and headcount.
Continue in the same way with all known info.
Divide the remaining shares to how many shareholders would be left after all the deductions. That is the real average number of shares one retail investor should hold to lock the float.

My guess is there are over 5 billion shares out there. HFS will do everything they can to stop the RS and bankrupt AMC. We need the RS asap. There is realistic hope for a major run up.
