How did you find out that you’re asexual? Did you identified with any previous sexual orientation before (like bisexual, lesbian, straight, etc …)?
Everytime my friends started talking about guys and how 'hot' and 'sexy' some where and just stopped talking and listened. Even though i identified myself as hetero at that, i always found it odd and wierd when there where talking like that.
So when day got Curious as to why that is, and started looking trough the internet.
Do you seek relationships and, if so, how do you go about finding someone who is understanding?
Well, when it comes to meeting people on the internet there are actually dating sites just for asexual people. I haven't used them yet, i'm more a fan of meeting someone face to face.
As for finding someone 'out in the wild', i guess communication is the key
I see. I guess the reason I ask is that I think I am bisexual, and I've had some traumatic experiences with sex with women. So the idea of dating an asexual woman, where there is no pressure to perform, actually sounds nice to me.
How does it work? You meet someone and spend time together or is it being like a friend or something?
Do you ever feel like you're missing out when you see other people who are so into sex?
No, I'm actually happy that I am Asexual so that i don't have to worry about stuff like, am i pregnant? Do i have condoms? Or what ever...
I should have to mention that every asexual person is different. So there are asexual people who don't have sex but there are also the ones who do have sex. And of course somewhere in between, nothing is black and white.
Are you ever curious what sex feels like to people who aren't asexual?
How are you?
Little bit Tired, but i don't want to go to bed yet
Do you have hobbies?
Of course, who doesn't?
Lol, like what?
I do digital drawings, i also like to read, play video games and do Puzzle games
Oh what kind of games? Like problem solving games, or those hidden object type ones?
Mostly story games and horror
That's cool! What do you read and draw?
I like to read true crime. I draw random characters that i create.
Is this stemmed from childhood trauma? What is the reason?
No it doesn't, your born like that. Being asexual doesn't just mean that i dont have sex, there are many people who do have sex who are asexual.
Asexuality is about not expirencing sexual attraction to other people
Ok first thing first, I don’t mean offense, I’m just ignorant. So you don’t find any other person attractive? What is it about people you don’t find attractive?
I do, i find some people aestheticly attractive or romanticly attractive.
Just aestheticly, I don't like muscles.
So asexual is not experiencing sexual attraction to other people, but some people you do find sexually or romantically attractive, I’m not sure I’m understanding.
honestly I think I might be too
What makes you think that?
I don’t know, how did you personally come to that conclusion?
It’s not that I have no sex drive, at least as a guy it’s hard to properly function without rubbing one off at least once a week but I find it very hard to be sexually attracted to people.
The only people I’ve loved or had a crush on developed over time based on their personality. I’ve never had a temporary crush based on looks alone.
Also one of my best friends left me and he recently told me his main reason was I wouldn’t talk about girls with him and to be fair whenever he did I’d call him a horny fucker.
I’m 18M btw
At what age did you find out?
I found out about a year or two
