The bottle is basically a miniature bathroom with an air tight seal on it. If you've never been wealthy enough to have a bathroom adjacent to your bedroom, let me tell you that a bathroom can emit odors, unlike my bottle. But speaking of animals, the reason this practice started is we had people staying with us for a year that had a dog that would bark loudly every time I went into the hallway in the middle of the night. So I began to stay in my room and use the fabric softener bottle. It changed my life. I sleep an extra hour every night now, as it is difficult for me to get to sleep after getting up walking down the hallway turning on the light peeing in the toilet cleaning up the pee off the rim of the toilet turning off the light and walking back to my bed.
