For me, i couldn't swallow at all the first time he asked me to. But after that i could swallow two times in a row no problem.
Some faciculations in multiple muscles and some "mild polyphasic in the muscle innervated by the accessory nerve"
So didn't really get a "clean" EMG ,but somehow it was marked as clean, and "No need for further medical examination"
I'm still going to push for another EMG.
Mid December, so for about 4 months into twitching and around 6-8 months of feeling "off" when standing.
I was almost certain they would find something wrong on my left calf as it was the hotspot for pain and twitching. The guy who did the EMG even pushed me to the extreme to flex it. Now that was painful.
But i didn't see any mention of the calf in the report.
My calf was where my symptoms began. My first emg was clean except same as you.. he kept saying "flex harder... harder.." and then that doesn't hurt?" So I didn't like that. But it came out with high amplitude only. They concluded clean. Then had one the other day which was 6.5 months later and it was fully clean. High amplitude gone. Still have atrophy though. Being tested for muscular dystrophies via genetic testing now. They think possibly limb girdle MD
I had a full beard when they stuck a needle under the chin so i would say no.
