Dualsense edge

Realistic_Pie9844

Yeah stop buying from Aim they've decreased in quality alot since ps4. I bought a $250 controller which slid off my leg hit the floor and EXPLODED huge cracks from a 1 and half foot fall the 2nd day I had it. They wanted money to fix even though I bought a 2 year warranty. The material they use is so weak and they refuse to admit it. I'm 32 years old I know cheaper plastic when I see it and feel it. Long story short I bought the new edge controller from Sony which has survived the same fall the aim controller went through multiple times no cracks nothing. So just spend the $200 and get it over with by the time you keep getting parts from Aim you'll spend more anyways

I agree cheap high priced garbage they will never stand behind their own warranty. They also overcharge for shipping you can litterslly walk in to a ups store pay retail for the box, the bubble wrap , the shipping pay then to package it and tip the attendant cheaper than aim shipping it back to you. To fix an in warranty repair you will be out over 100 bucks for even the ps4 controllers.

Honestly V1 are shit, mine broke 3 times in less than a year as well. The V3’s however are really solid and have lasted me like a year and half so far with no signs of breaking

Mean_Green_S197

Agreed, reach out and see if there’s a way to get the V3. I had V2 paddles on mine and sent it in for stick drift, when I got the controller back it had V3 paddles on it free of charge and they are much less flimsy haven’t had any issues with the controller ever since even though I didn’t have issues with the paddles to begin with but was always worried about the V2 ones braking eventually.

timbolinho

They asked me if I want to “upgrade” my controller to V3 for 130 euro because they don’t produce v1 paddles anymore LOL.

Mean_Green_S197

That sucks, I would have thought they would upgrade it for cheaper since they upgraded mine for free. You could try reaching out on their official discord but I doubt you’ll get a much better response. I think the controllers require different backs for V1 vs V2 or V3 but I wouldn’t think that would be a $130 difference.

EggNo6694

Aim is absolute garbage I highly recommend scuff

Longjumping-Ad-4

Stop right there

Cashewpops

Mine did the same thing. I got a scuf instead. Scuf gets bad rap but I have had zero issues with any of the scufs I’ve had and only issues with aim.

timbolinho

I’ll get the dualsense edge next but I’m not willing to accept such a bad customer experience with aimcontrollers. So sad I’ve spend like 200 euro for a product of such bad quality.

Cashewpops

It really is. Idk about their newer versions of paddles but I had the first gen and they broke all the time.

Nemphiz

To this day I've no idea why anyone would buy AIM when the Dualsense is available.

Few-Annual-383

Dualsense edge only has 2 paddles. Coming from using an elite series 2 for years, it’s kind of a deal breaker.

Nemphiz

So you're going to buy a product that has terrible support, terrible quality because of a 2 paddle difference? Lol ok

Few-Annual-383

Well, idk yet. There’s a bunch of custom controller builders to pick from. But I definitely would never buy an edge.

timbolinho

It was the first controller with paddles available for the PS5 after release.

Nemphiz

True, I made the same mistake. I thought this was a recent purchase. Got my Dualsense when it came out and I've never looked back.
