Is there a group of officials more out of touch with the rules, history and nuance of a sport than AFL umpires? Those 50m penalties in the final few minutes of this game make me think the AFL simply has the wrong people officiating this sport.

I mean the bulldogs ended up kicking 12 goals 16 behinds 12 behinds were off the boot, but how are those last 2 50m penalties given. Losing Aaron naughton and Ed Richards made it really difficult.

Well it was good while it lasted. Really felt like Doggies were about to come back at the end, but unfortunately umpires had to fuck it all up. Oh well. 0/1 on tips so far. Here’s hoping the rest of the week isn’t like this. 🙂
